Saturday NFL Games Thread

Without a doubt, NFL defensive players rushing the ball (linemen \ linebackers \ secondary) have been more aware this season and batted down more passes when they can't get to the QB in the pocket.

ARTICLE 16. HORSE-COLLAR TACKLE

No player shall grab the inside collar of the back or the side of the shoulder pads or jersey, or grab the jersey at the name plate or above, and pull the runner toward the ground. This does not apply to a runner who is in the tackle box or to a quarterback who is in the pocket.

Straight from the rulebook.
Right, but interesting that it was banned because player were getting injured from it, but sometimes it's ok...

My interpretation is that a ball carrier running in the open field with speed is a lot more susceptible to that injury, than a RB or QB just behind the LOS who are either plodding along (RB) or somewhat stationary (QB).

Yeah I don’t listen to their fans. From Houston to Del Rio and below is home.
I can't help it. I would always wear my Cowboys wrist band at work (in Houston.) Consequently Texan fans would always be yapping at me. If you live in the Houston area and are a Cowboys fan it's difficult to root for the Texans.
