Which scenario is best

I love Thienemann but don’t think he is on the cowboys radar, they must see him as a safety only

Why settle for either?

The Cowboys could put themselves in a situation to get the best of both.

There is a possibility that Bain falls to the Cowboys.

None of the remaining players in question are worth the #20 overall, in my opinion. The average ranking from all scouting services in the data base of PFF lists Theinman as the closest at #29. Allen is at 31.4.

Warren is a mid-2nd. Rodriquez is a bottom 2nd.

The Cowboys could trade down from #20. This could be where some teams get a little nervous about where Ty Simpson is going. There could even be multiple offers at that point. The Jets have two 2nd round picks #33 and #46.

However,

I get the feeling that the Cowboys would be far better off just letting the draft come to them instead of trying to force things. A good player will be there at #12. They will get phone calls and offers for #20.

The Cowboys are far more successful when they are lucky as opposed to deliberate.
