Apparently not for opposing fans.

You can park for $20 and get a pretty good seat for less than $200. Apparently, only Cowboys fans are unemployed or cheap. It's embarrassing.

It's a great experience at the stadium, and well worth it.

Did you see Zack Martin tapping Frederick's leg for the snap? How many home teams have to go to the silent count in their own stadium?
So you think $420 is pocket change for most people? That's cool. I don't. I think most people live paycheck to paycheck and paying that much money means something else goes unpaid for. Like I said, if it is embarrassing, buy the tickets and go.

I've seen the Cardinals have to go silent count against us more than a few times. In their own stadium.

I have two sets of tickets. Here's the trick. You don't have to pay that much.

Wait until Thursday or Friday, and I guarantee you that you can get good seats for well under $200 each. Park down Randal Mill and walk 3/4 of a mile, and you can park for $20.

People go and spend more money on $9 beers than they do their tickets. Forget the beer and go watch the game. It's a great time.

Surely, we can scare up another 20,000 fans than we are right now to do this. This stadium should be 80/20 or better every game.

My fear is, now the reputation is building in, and people will stay away because of the opposing fans, not because of the price to go.

And I don't think it is at all. The cost of tickets, parking and concessions makes going to a game very expensive for the guy who lives from paycheck to paycheck.

$35 for party passes, $40 to park, eat before the game. That's cheaper than date night with the wife.

I'll add this.

They're 4-1 folks. They're the best running team in the NFL. Demarco Murray is leading the league in rushing. They're playing representative defense with a tackling machine at middle linebacker and a whole defense that flies to the football. This could be a fun year.

Go see some potential history!

It's definitely worse this year than it has ever been. The only other game I can think of recently where we were over taken was the Thanksgiving Raider game a few years back, that was ridiculous.

Or it could just be that we've yet to play anyone worth talking about. This week is going to tell us a lot about the rest of the season.

I just disagree with you guys. it is as simple as that. I think the NFL owners have priced things too high for most fans and I blame them. I do not blame the seasons ticket holders for trying to make a profit on games they don't want to or can't attend. I can't blame the secondary ticket market for not asking "who will you be rooting for?" and turning down money for their clients the sellers. I don't blame the fans of other teams who live nearby or want to travel to see the game. I certainly don't blame the players. That leaves the owners. That is who I am going to blame. We'll have to agree to disagree, but I sincerely hope that any season ticket holder who does disagree with me NEVER, ever, under any circumstance sells their tickets to non Cowboys fans, and that the non season ticket holders will do everything they can to buy tickets and make trips to the games so other team's fans miss out.

I was reading that party passes were being sold for $135/piece, still a bit pricey.

Either way, tickets are high. I had friends who wanted to go and once I broke downt the costs, she changed her mind.

I don't mind paying for tickets. I just didn't want to go to the Texans game. I care more about division games.

So there is a "problem" in Dallas regarding opponents fans. This year it has happened twice already.

So what is the solution? Some Cowboys fans & now even players seem to be upset about this.

I cannot find a single quote from Jerry regarding this but have not looked all that hard either.

How can this be fixed?

WG - go to StubHub and put in any game. I just tried the Colts home game. Party passes are $37.50 - less for some games. As others have said, people can eat outside the stadium - and I always park for free if you don't mind a walk.

I guess we have to agree to disagree - I think money is not the barrier here. God knows, in Philly - another working class city, the stadium is always sold out and the tickets cost a lot more.

If they keep winning, our fans will eventually show up for the games. To those that say we're 4-1, this is true, but does that make up for the letdown we've suffered consistently over the past 20 some odd years? Give it some time. I think a lot of people are still leery that the clock will strike midnight somehow and we'll end up disappointed again. History shows this to be the likely case, and if you look at how we've won & lost this year, there is a chance for a slump. We made so many errors yesterday it was ridiculous. We had to come back against the Rams, and we essentially gave the Niners the game with turnovers. People are hesitant and rightfully so.

Here's a copy of my week one ticket. In my opinion, My brother, best friend and I had great endzone seats. I would have been ecstatic if I had purchased our seats at face value. Instead, I bought all three for $378 a pop. That's crazy. Worse, it is a case of insanity that has nothing to do with Jerry Jones and everything to do with whomever re-sold the tickets. Last season was not any different. I bought three week one Giants 400-level tickets for $99 each and their original face value was $65.00.

I would enjoy catching multiple games a year. However, I am not going to become a season ticket holder. I cannot afford it. At the same time, I can dole out up to $150 a ticket for myself and a couple of other people for great seats like the ticket above for several games. Unfortunately I cannot because that option is not available.

Why?

The answer is not Jerry Jones.

And the answer has a lot to do with why everyone is seeing other teams' fans occupying large numbers of seats in Cowboys Stadium.

I have zero issue with anyone re-selling their seats for economic reasons. The current economy stinks and people need funds for (hopefully) necessities. However, blaming this reselling ticket crap on Jones pricing philosophy or acting like it is some form of passive-aggressive protest against him is essentially bull. It is a limited season. The face value of tickets will be much greater by default than those being sold at other major sports venues like baseball or basketball. If my ticket this year is indicative of stadium-wide seat pricing, the face value of tickets rise or fall in relation to specific stadium location, but they are not outrageously priced for many fans wanting to see ONE game at least. It's re-sale price that smells like turnip farts.

For fans who proclaim they are sticking it to Jones, please. You are not sticking it to Jones. You are sticking it to other fans. If fans wish to take the moral ground AFTER buying tickets, DO NOT RESELL THEM. Empty seats support your agenda. Another team fan's butt sitting in your seat shoots your vendetta all to hell. Argument. 12-gauge birdshot shell. Shotgun. Bang.

I'm actually not agreeing or disagreeing. I was just pointing out what I'd seen on twitter. That the markup for the tickets were triple what was normal in some places.

As for Indy tickets, nobody would notice their fans, because their colors closely resembles the Cowboys colors.

Cost has never been an issue to me, because once I decide I want to go, then I make it work. I've only paid for parking once, because my mom lives 10 mins from the stadium and she drops me off/picks me up.

I know - just giving my perspective, which is that it's not about cost - it's about having such a cavernous stadium - it's not easy to sell out 105,121 tickets, the novelty of it, and the fact that it's a team that people either hate or love. And, as I said, Eagles fans (as an example) also have a sell-out record, a heavy dose of their green, in a working class city with tickets just as expensive.

Here is the screenshot from StubHub. The only one that has Party Passes more than $40 is for the Thanksgiving day game.

I cant believe the denial that alot of you are in. The local fan base in Dallas stinks. It's just all a bunch of excuses. When your QB calls you out, you are failing.

Granted alot of the party passes were texans, but the premium season ticket areas between the 30's were packed with them also.

This is it, right here. It's embarrassing. Tired of the excuses.

I have a question for the Dallas locals, who DO attend the games. Either regularly or sporadically. As a fan who lives way, way out of state (Hawaii) and only made it to the old Texas stadium once. Going to the new stadium is a bucket list thing. Airfare, accommodation, tickets, food and drink as well as memorabilia will make it hugely expensive trip. But one of the things I've always heard about Dallas fans is how apathetic they are. That it was more about being seen at the game, than actually being there FOR the game.
Now, hopefully this is an old complaint and not a realistic view any more. But it made me think of this when I heard Romo's comment post game. He said he thought the crowd was about 50/50 but the Texan fans were far louder that they had to go with the silent count.. If it was only 50/50 how were they so loud ? Or were Dallas fans so quiet ?
Having to be told by the monitor when to yell and when to be quiet ? Is this true ? Or another old fable about our team. More so than ticket prices and so on. Why are our fans so - mild ! At other stadiums Dallas fans are raucous (I've been to plenty of Cowboys games in Phoenix when I lived there) but at home games - meh... What's the truth people !

I am not a local Dallas resident but I have been to a few Cowboys Stadium games. I will not comment on the other questions because fans who attended more games should answer. However, what is quoted above is 100% true. It is kinda amazing how such large instructions do not carry over to the crowd sometimes. They are too huge to not be seen (or heard for that matter).

I've seen the same things for the crowds in Atlanta, Phoenix, and San Diego. I bet they happen all over the NFL.

There were 14,000 empty slots at the game. Listed attendance 91,000 plus.

Most of excess capacity was in the end zones?

The party pass area still has room for 25,000 fans (when stadium empty)?

Has anyone given an analysis of how much a season ticket holder has to sell to cover ticket cost, license fee, and interest on the fee?

Is there a premium on the party pass tickets?
