Fisher on Murray

Some awful team with plenty of cap space will give him a stupid contract.

He'll stay banged up and go back to his sub-1,000 yard production.

Amazing how well guys perform when money is on the line. I like Murray but we can do better through the draft or via FA in the form of AP.

Anyone have a video of this play?

I was at the game and never saw a replay...the hole liked gigantic, but Murray isn't one that scores from far out like that...still a huge play, if he hangs on

Video please

Agree. Dunbar/Randle higher probability to take it to the house. Murray great back with 15-20 yard potential, but unlike Emmitt, Dorsett, Walker, not a home run threat...

I think breaking the bank for Murray would be a big mistake.

Definitely! I would like to keep him but not at a price that will hamstring us in other areas. There are some outstanding RBs that will be in the draft this draft.

what happen to murray's speed? Murray runs tough and etc but man in the open field murray is terrible lol. Idk what happen to his speed. He broke a run vs greenbay that he should of took to the house. Im suprise with murray's hand we didnt see more Randle to atleast keep murray fresh. I rather randle had taken dunbar carries. Randle seems to run like murray but quicker and faster with better open field moves.
Worst managed position on the team this year. I and many said it all year. I think they got caught up in him going for 2000. This team never gained the trust of the other guys. Look at Lacy yesterday...still got his 100...Rogers still got his 300...AND they won. But plenty of stretches throughout the game yesterday when Lacy was watching. We becam way too reliant on a guy that fans are now saying they do not even want back next year.

I want Murray apart of this team. He is a very big part of why this Cowboys Team plays the way it does.

I want to keep this team together as much as possible.

Having said that. Its more important to make decisions based on Team and Organization.

So, if we have to lose out on signing a few FA defensive picks, becuase Murray wants the payday. I say let him test what he can get....

Come up with a really really good offer and sales pitch to keep him here....but don't cross that line , wherever that line is, that exposes the Team and organization. I know, easier said then done. Very hard decision to make.

If Murray gets paid top 3 RB pay, then good for him, bad for us! and it may be time to part ways,

imho. Murray would be better served to take a good deal instead of a bank breaking deal. But then again, place yourself in his shoes..... what are you going to do? :)

I don't know if I fully agree with this. Packers have Starks who is a reasonable everydown backup RB. Because of Starks, the Packers feel ok about resting Lacy.

I'm not sure Cowboys feel anywhere the same about Randle or Dunbar. They seem more like speciality backs to me.

LMAO!! Not wanting Demarco back?? What are you guys nuts? I don't want to pay him top money either, but I want him back. He's the reason we were here in the first place! Anybody that thinks we can just plug anybody back there and be same are foolish. (I remember everybody wanting Hambrick in for Emmitt as well) The dude is a 5 tool player at RB. By the way he's only 26, not 30!

Preferably, would prefer we get a young RB in the draft. With this NFL, no need to overpay any RB. Especially one after the year Murray had.

I was thinking Patriots or Broncos. They love to revitalize some of these "older" backs.

My first thought is that the Patriots don't usually pay for running backs, and the Broncos have a lot of cap issues and free agents of their own to sign.

Don't think the Cowboys are going to decide that paying big money to Murray is a financially sound decision. It'd be better to go cheaper at RB and allocate those resources elsewhere.

And for as good as Demarco was this year, I'm leaning towards not wanting him back. There's a bad history of backs breaking down after as much work as he had this season, and we saw a bit of that happening already this year.

Not sure what kind of price tag he'd demand nor if he's leaving New Orleans, but Ingram is a name I'd be interested in.

Not really breaking news here

I hope they do the same with Mr. 38 per game playoff game

Whatever.

That fumble on what would've more than likely been a TD very well could have cost the team a chance to play in the NFC Championship. Not placing it all on him but you can't fumble in that situation.

No, the blame is on him.

Half this board wants to sit around and sulk, and blame the refs. No Murray put us in that situation. He had our only TO. He put Dez and Romo in a situation to where they had to play "superman save me". Then gave Rodgers confidence.

He blew it. Stop blaming the damn refs, and blame the bum carrying the rock.
