Is there a "good" coach out there that goes 1-11 with backup QBs on a team that was supposedly talented enough over the entire roster to be a conference contender?
Garrett is a mediocre coach at best and unfortunately we will spend the last couple of years of Romo's career proving that.
This organization has a problem from the top on down. I was hoping Stephen had more of his father's ear and had a shred of common sense but alas, I suspect he doesn't. This organization is marred by incredible arrogance by the owner/GM with a befuddling level of bizarre loyalty to underperforming assets............ and what you see is what you get.
One playoff appearance in the last 5 years.
I really had hope that things were turning a corner after last year but the same problems that have plagued the franchise since Jimmy left just bubbled to the surface time and time again.
What should happen is Garrett should be sent packing. They should turn the page on this era and move on. Try to find that next QB. Build around their OL.
But they won't. They'll cling to Garrett as if he isn't a .500 coach but rather a star in waiting that's just been unfortunate to have such bad luck on the injury front. They'll likely feed Jones' fetish with Manziel and bring that clown into the mix. And it's just wash, rinse, repeat from this organization. The team might scuffle again next year and the Jones family will figure out more excuses to cut Garrett some slack. Not because he deserves it, but because he's one of them. He's family. He's a link to the days of Aikman and Emmitt, when Dallas ruled the roost. Jones craves that link. He wants it to work despite all the evidence it's not.
The fact Garrett is still here is a clear sign they still don't have a clue and haven't had one since the mid 90s.
