Rams get #1 overall

Tells me that the Titans were getting some serious offers.

However, to go from 15 to 1 is a lot different than going from 4 to 1.

No doubt. But I think they're a team with a ton of needs and the more draft picks for them, the better.

They can drop to #15 and still get one of the top 3 offensive tackles, or trade back up for Tunsil as well and still keep a large portion of the picks they've acquired.

Again, feeling they're set at quarterback gives them that option and luxury.

Not me. I don't want to go that far down.

Dallas EARNED that 4th pick. I wouldn't got back more than 4-5 spots.

If the alternative is settling for Ramsey or getting an extra premium choice or two, I seriously think about it.

Ramsey alone is not going to have an impact. You are basically looking at a non-difference maker versus the opportunity to get several starters.

I think a large factor is the changing landscape of the NFL. Quarterbacks - even mediocre ones - are valued commodities in today's NFL. They're in such demand that even disappointments like Sam Bradford are being paid $18 million. That fact is that you just can't get them.

I think it's indicative of a big issue with the league and I think it will play a huge role in the future of minor league, developmental football. Teams and owners will realize that more needs to be done for that position in particular and the overall health of the game.

For the Rams? I can see it being Wentz if they want the pro-style guy to play right away.

But for me, I'm not holding the offense that Goff played in against him. I see it as a positive. He was repeatedly asked to throw and throw and throw and throw, often playing under enormous pressure and from behind. And, in doing so, proved to me again and again and again that he could perform in the clutch and under pressure. Bringing him into our circumstances and teaching him the pro game for a year or two behind Romo is ideal for me.

Well, I think Wentz and Goff are now set to go 1 and 2, so they're off the board.

You're right about the desperation for quarterbacks. These guys are mere projections, not hardly worthy of the top two picks by pedigree or resume.

But all the Aaron Donalds in the world can't win without a good QB. Houston is a prime example. So is Buffalo.

The Rams have been drafting in the top 10 picks for most of the past 40 years.

I think would think they'd be tired of it.

The Rams need a QB. Period. They obviously thought highly enough of one of these guys that they wanted to ensure that they got their QB.

Stash said it best - you either have a QB, or you'll move heaven and earth to get one. They think one of these guys is worth it. We'll see. They certainly traded enough to make it happen.

But, there were some on here who said that the QBs weren't thought that highly of. This trade alone blows that theory to smithereens.

Could Lynch fall to the 2nd round? Possibly?

I doubt it. I think he is in play in the top 10 for sure. Just too gifted to slide down that far. Usually by this point there would have been more negatives out there about him, like it was for Bridgewater.

I don't see any other than he needs development, but he checks all the other boxes.

Ramsey could be Ed Reed. Hard to say.

If the choice is Ramsey or............... possibly Spence or maybe Lynch at #15 with two more second round picks.................. it's an easy choice for me.

Actually there was a guy on NFLN last night or the night before saying that some teams really are struggling with Lynch and that he definitely is a name to watch as a first round slider.

LA Rams need to get fans interested in their first year. A guy like Goff who already has a fan base in California would help with that. It is a factor. Wentz is from North Dakota. You have to consider how these guys will adjust to new surroundings.

You don't understand CA. Goff has a fan base over 300 miles North. You don't really even see Cal on TV in the L.A. market. They get zero coverage there. If this were the 49ers it would make sense as Cal is in the same market.

If the Chargers take Ramsey it turns into a dream scenario for a trade. A team desperate for Tunsil will look to trade up. If nobody makes a good offer I would take Tunsil in a heartbeat and laugh at the rest of the NFL for the riches we have in the OLine. I just think Tunsil is TOO GOOD to pass up if he is there at 4 and nobody wants to trade

I completely agree. You'd give Romo incredible protection and time to throw (and best chance for good health) and have a dominant line opening huge lanes for whatever running back was on the field.

The team is obviously looking to move on from Free after this year (his contract shows that) or at least minimize his role to a swing/backup at a reduced cost. Considering Chaz Green's rookie year, he's still a complete unknown and a possible busted pick. Right tackle is still very much a question mark.

I saw a quick interview with Lynch, and I really don't like him personally. Just rubbed me wrong, seemed like a immature punk to me.

It would be disappointing to be stuck at #4 with both quarterbacks gone and no trade down option. But if I'm stuck, I'm taking the best offensive lineman and until today, the #1 overall pick to complete my set for the next 5-10 years.

That group would make every one of my skill position players that much better, wherever they were drafted.

None of these top defenders make enough game-changing plays in my opinion to be worthy of the #4 overall selection.

Ramsey is the consensus best player in the draft so I would be irate that he would be picked 1 spot ahead of us with no QB option left. Obviously Tunsil is great but it's so many resources invested in the line.

Either one of our starting guards can kick out to RT and we'd be fine.

so you take a tackle even if it means not signing your proven pro bowl center ,ya right

I swear, some of ya'll just like to argue.

We have Frederick for two more years at an affordable price, including his 5th year option since he was a first round pick. This isn't about a decision we'd have to make today, it's about a decision we MIGHT have to make 2 years from now.

In large part due to their struggles at quarterback.

they stumbled upon an undrafted free agent that took them to the SB and when he was gone, they have had a really hard time finding the next great one. Perhaps its a sign of things to come!
