Visting Texas Christmas week with my family and would like to take my son to the Cowboys-Lions game on December 26th(Monday Night Football). Since I am stretching my budget for the trip, I would like to know the best time to get the tickets for me and my little guy. Shall I wait Cowboys secure home field advantage or is this the time to pull the trigger?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Typically, the later you buy the tickets, the cheaper they are..

Game day..or the night before

Both times I flew out from Denver I bought my tickets in advance, and I noticed they were much cheaper closer to the game.

The last time I went we got some club level seats, they went from $1400 a month before the game to just over $1k the week before on stubhub

Sarcasm?

He's a Giants fan (thus the avatar) so maybe he didn't realize he would be in the Dallas area until now. Many of us live outside Texas but are rabid Cowboys fans.

It was sarcasm, Mamacita. :) Miley likes to rile the masses from time to time :)

She doesn't like using the "/s" or "/sarcasm" labels... tho, we've had the discussion before. @MileyDancer :D

Hope you get those tickets, Shunny. You're a hell of a father, and this I know. What a treat for the little guy!

Thanks guys. I will wait until the morning of the game and either print the tickets or pick them up from Stubhub.

Trouty. My friend. You aren't bad yourself. :) In fact, I am a bad father. You know what I mean by that. :)

I dont see prices dropping this year unless you wait until absolute last minute.
also, there is no " print at home ticket " option anymore, have to have original ticket or electronic ticket.

Yeah, absolute last minute...people get desperate..have to sell their tickets..they don't have a choice but to drop the price

I'm planning on going as well. From past experiences I would say just frequently check those resale sites like StubHub and VividSeats. If you see a deal that you like, jump on it right then and there. I've waited 'til the day before and been disappointed with how little, if any the prices dropped. Sometimes it works though.

Thanks. I didn't know that. Printing it at home is still an option for Giants tickets. I will check this regularly. How is the view from the nosebleeds? Can anyone chime in? Also do I have to hunt for a Row 1 ticket because of my 12 year old?

If you're sitting nosebleed, just make sure you can see the big screen. I went to the Raiders game on thanksgiving a few years ago and literally sat on the LAST row but I was fine because it was around the 50 yard lie. Could see the screen perfectly.
