Todd Archer reporting ..

On 105.3 The Fan in Dallas Tuesday, Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said "you'll know it when you see it," when talking about a potential change from Dak Prescott to Tony Romo down the stretch but he did not have a definitive scenario in which a move would be made.

In other words probably two or three more bad series from Prescott and he's out.

I don't think so. You don't pull a guy during a game for a lot of reasons:

Romo wouldn't have had starter snaps to prepare, and giving him those snaps before this game would be screwing Dak over. You can't e expect the guy to perform better if you are taking away his preparation time and giving it to someone else.

Dak deserves the entire game any time he starts. It's no fair to anyone if he's looking over his shoulder after every pass to see if Romo is warming up. We don't need him pressing and tight.

Dak has come on at the end of games before after a slow start. Pulling him after a few series, even if they are horrible, would be like pulling Romo at halftime in Buffalo in 07. You give the guy a chance to make some magic, he's earned it.

Pulling him in a game would be a panic move, and coaches don't ever want to look panicked. If there is a change it should be done professionally.

Care to back that up with some facts? Romo's playoff numbers are solid and his performance in the playoffs has pretty much nothing to do with our playoff woes.

I am also talking about the win and get in games, wherre he has been horrific. I didnt think he was a choker until 2012, where I remember ESPN running a video on Romo making horrible plays in the elimination games.. and then he has his worst elimination game of his career against the Commanders that same year. He isnt going to become Tom Brady. You cant teach an old dog new tricks. He is a fantasy QB. Not good enough to win a championship.

I'd like to see what Romo can do and totally believe in Dak Prescott. You guys will be back on the wagon after next game.... Dak will bounce back.. I knew a bad stretch was coming. It was clear that he couldn't keep performing at that level all season. That being said, you bandwagoners will be back in full force after the Tampa game.

I really can't believe the ignorance of a lot of Cowboys fans. To ask to remove Dak because the team has a bad game is flat out STUPID. I like Romo but remind me of exactly what has he won since he's been the starter? Let me answer that for you...NOTHING. The problem with Cowboys fans is that most expect to win every week and that is totally not going to happen. People and teams have bad days, its a part of life so deal with it or change teams. If Dak is the QB of the future (I believe he is) then deal with the growing pains just like we dealt with those of Romo. Sadly, I see why sometimes people hate Cowboys fans because there are some that lack reason and education.

Whatever.
It's not whatever. It sends a horrible message to the team, and to Dak. It also means Tony is likely back next year and we get nothing for him when he's at the end of his career anyway, and Dak then loses a year of on field experience and gains a year of rust.

They never should have moved on to Dak if they weren't committed to him.

Looks like it took Jerry only one day to come off of "only because of injury"... lol.

And I see the resident Dak slobberers are already steeling themselves to the inevitable. And to think, just a few days ago they were gleefully working out Romo trades.
