I'd like to see what Romo can do and totally believe in Dak Prescott. You guys will be back on the wagon after next game.... Dak will bounce back.. I knew a bad stretch was coming. It was clear that he couldn't keep performing at that level all season. That being said, you bandwagoners will be back in full force after the Tampa game.

I'm all for letting Dak continue as starter as long as the team is winning and he is playing well. If he goes out against the Bucs and has another poor outing in another loss Romo needs to be given the job back. The SB is there for the taking and they need the best player at the most important position.

You don't throw an opportunity like this season away because you're afraid of hurting a rookie's feelings. There may not be another opportunity like this for this team and Dak will be here next year.

Stop it Jerry, that ship has sailed.Romo cannot change this offense. Its still fundamentally related to our WRs getting open which is always slow developing. We dont do quick throws like patriots to take some pressure off the offense. you dont think they wont blitz Romo?

It's not whatever. It sends a horrible message to the team, and to Dak. It also means Tony is back next year and we get nothing for him when he's at the end of his career anyway, and Dak then loses a year of on field experience and gains a year of rust.

They never should have moved on to Dak if they weren't committed to him.

No it is putting one player above the team. They have a chance to win a championship this year. I don't want Dak pulled right now but if his play is causing he season to slip away how can you keep starting him with a QB like Romo on the bench?

Putting Tony back in because the team finally loses a couple games, or because Dak has a couple rookie outings, would be the first domino to fall to the start of a chain reaction of bad decisions.

I don't understand this logic. We don't know yet what we have in Romo, can he stay healthy etc, but if Dak continues struggle and we have Tony Romo waiting in relief, you play Romo. This isn't about one player and his psyche. How would it be detrimental to the team and it's season to put a far better passer in for the stretch run when the rookie is stumbling?

I don't think it effects Dak and his career at all. Logic says he shouldn't even be starting at this point anyway. Kudos that he has held it down and done a good job but he has some developing to do.

That's not putting one player above that team. That's sticking the leader of your offense, and one of the key guys who got the team this far. A guy who needs all the reps he can get if you actually want him to be the future of the team.

When the Cowboys made the call to move onto Tony, they stuck with him through the good games, and the horrendous ones he's been famous for his entire career.

I really can't believe the ignorance of a lot of Cowboys fans. To ask to remove Dak because the team has a bad game is flat out STUPID. I like Romo but remind me of exactly what has he won since he's been the starter? Let me answer that for you...NOTHING. The problem with Cowboys fans is that most expect to win every week and that is totally not going to happen. People and teams have bad days, its a part of life so deal with it or change teams. If Dak is the QB of the future (I believe he is) then deal with the growing pains just like we dealt with those of Romo. Sadly, I see why sometimes people hate Cowboys fans because there are some that lack reason and education.

Many of us believe Romo should have been playing long before now actually. Besides, this is 3 straight games now for Dak under 200 yards passing, 3TD's in 3 weeks. We've been lucky and winning IN SPITE of Dak. It doesn't matter what Romo has or hasn't won, there is just no argument to be made on who the better QB is at this point.

I am also talking about the win and get in games, wherre he has been horrific. I didnt think he was a choker until 2012, where I remember ESPN running a video on Romo making horrible plays in the elimination games.. and then he has his worst elimination game of his career against the Commanders that same year. He isnt going to become Tom Brady. You cant teach an old dog new tricks. He is a fantasy QB. Not good enough to win a championship.

Too bad that is all incorrect.

They allowed the media the increased ratings and the desire to limit Romos exposure to injury to get out of hand. Now they don't have the balls to put in Romo after a win streak for fear of media and fan backlash. They will continue to throw Dak under the bus this week put in a very conservative game plan pull Zeke on critical 3rd downs just like last week n pray for losses until the media and fan tide turns before Romo goes in. Sad but true.

It's amazing most people in this thread are agenda driven in the Romo vs dak. There both on the same team. The real issue is who gives us our best chance in the playoffs. Dallas needs to just get back to running and be more creative on offense. Dak needs to be decisive (hope I spelled that right) and make his throws. He is capable of doing so. We need dak using his feet also. I think dak is plenty capable of winning in the playoffs.

Looks like it took Jerry only one day to come off of "only because of injury"... lol.

And I see the resident Dak slobberers are already steeling themselves to the inevitable. And to think, just a few days ago they were gleefully working out Romo trades.

I think they watched the tape, and realize the past 3 games are a trend right now. There isn't enough time to work through the rookie growing pains in the middle of HFA race. But that is how I see it. If there wasn't Romo sitting behind him this isn't a conversation. I think people fail to realize that, and what the guy sitting on the bench brings to this offense. They won't be loading the box and daring Romo to beat them.

I guess Romo throwing 3 ints against the Commanders was just a dream? or 3 turnovers against the Eagles in 08 while scoring 6 points was just a dream as well? or 3 other turnovers against the Giants in 2011.. again.. a dream? All elimination games. People think we have Tom Brady on the bench.. instead we have a fantasy QB that has 2 wildcard playoff wins in 10 years.

Well put.

It's not as if they're talking about taking Dak out to put in Sanchez.

Dak was horrible and threw 2 picks in a game that we should have won and would have likely won us a 1st round bye.

"He's a fantasy choker QB".
