Hardly.
I am looking at the now and what I can get for him NOW. Not the future...now.
I suppose you would have held onto walker as well instead of trading him to minny.
He would have to be the best quarter back to ever walk the earth for the next 15 years for him to be worth more than taking 3 1sts and probably 2-3 other picks. And even if you kept him, his salary would probably crush the entire organization from being competitive.

Walker was a rb, big difference. No franchise will trade a potential frnchise qb. You do realize the goal of football is to win championships and not stock on draft picks?

Walker was an RB...during the time your RB was what mattered for your offense...hence one of the picks we got for him turned into Emmitt Smith.
What if Dak becomes a top 30 all-time QB, but you miss being able to draft THE BEST QB OF ALL TIME because you didnt trade him and get the pick to do so?
Walker was great....Emmitt was the greatest.

and hitting on QB is the hardest thing to do. There are a lot of QB who were 1st rd picks who have busted, Dallas has found a very good QB there is no way the let that get away. Ask Cleveland how many QB's have they gone through and still have nothing. Trading Walker on a team who had little talent outside of him for players and picks was what the doctor ordered to get the talent on this team that they did not have

If its so absurd, just ask yourself, would Bill Bilichick trade dak away and get a stockpile of picks? You bet!
If you got 3 firsts fleecing some other team, you could maybe hit on 3 all-star QB's and turn them into even more picks.
At worse, you've got 3 chances to go get another great QB.
Ask the Vikings if last year, they could have traded Teddy for 3 1sts if they would have done it now. Yup. The likelihood of 3 players getting injured and losing their career versus 1 is very different.
It is always less risky to stockpile picks over hoping 1 guy always plays lights out and never gets injured.

Would he have traded Brady? NO I don't see any teams out there looking to trade their QB who just lead them to a 13-3 season. Dallas traded Walker because they had no talent on the team and were in major need of talent. It is clear you don't think highly of Dak but fact is it is hard to find a top QB in this league. Houston since they have been in the NFL still do not have a QB worth a damn, NY Jet have not had a decent QB for several years and the list of teams who year in and year out get top picks still do not have a QB. Using Walker is lame since Jimmy came in and was looking to gut this team that had little talent and the Walker deal with players and picks allowed him to get talent. Did he look to Trade Troy Aikman? NO Has GB looked to trade Rodgers No why because any team with an ounce of common sense is not going to trade away a top QB

They let Emmitt go at the end of his career and Walker again it was a chance to give a team with no talent some talent. This current team has talent they are winning football games and will not go backwards by giving up their QB that is just plain stupid. I get it you want Romo, I love Romo but he is 36 with back injuries. I wish him nothing but the best but to get rid of Dak for what reason? We have great talent on this team and will get more, we have a QB who can lead this team for years and you want to trade him? LOL whatever dude.

What is this we already agreed BS? Teams had out contracts based on the future projections. Again is GB looking to trade Rodgers? Hell no, have the Pats been shopping Brady? No.
Why not trade Zeke as well, I'm sure we could get some top picks for him. Throw in Lee as well.

at no point has GB tried to trade him at no point has NE tried to trade Brady. Finding an NFL QB is hard to do as I said many teams are still trying after years and years of failure. You seem to have an issue with Dak and appears to be because he has Romo job now. I don't see any NFL teams looking to trade their QB who is producing as Dak has, that is beyond dumb
Only person throwing crap on the wall to see if it will stick is you. Dallas is not going to trade Dak they are not that stupid and are not walking around with hurt feeling because of Romo

Ya, I have a problem with Dak alright....thats why YEARS and CONTRACTS ago, my posts over on another cowboys forum says that Tony should not resign with Dallas and should go elsewhere.
Guess what? Tony now is going to get to go elsewhere.

I hope you go along with him. Your post here of being upset that Dak is now the starting QB and you want Romo. I like Romo as well but he is 36 he does have back issues and is on the downhill side of his career. Dak career is only beginning and I can promise you Dallas is not looking to trade him away nor would any other team. Teams just do not get rid of their QB's who are producing as Dak is. Seahawks did not start shopping Russell Wilson why because they see the talent and know how hard it is to find a QB
