If Zeke gets 4-6 games I will be reading the NFL's backup very carefully. Without some type of concrete evidence I will seriously consider walking away from my NFL fandom. I'm getting sick of tracking suspensions more than player development.

I love college football, so I can enjoy that a bit longer until the media forces that to become more of a semi pro format.

This is nuts

As a diehard Cowboys fan, my mind wants to scream injustice, but when I actually calm down and think about it, the league has a lot on the line if they are going to suspend this kid despite lack of any evidence that it really happened. I have my suspicions that we really do not know the full story here. We should not forget that lack of a formal criminal charge does not mean a crime or NFL rule has not been broken. Relax....relax, I am by no means implying that Zeke is a criminal or committed a crime, I am just saying that their may be enough evidence out there to fit into the leagues conduct rules, but yet for whatever reason criminal charges are not warranted.

Regardless or what happens, and I am not happy about it, but I think this kids needs a wake up call.

i'm with you, but often Jerry and co. do the exact opposite of what I want and submit to Goodell and his cronies

I get the feeling Jerry is fed up. I actually expect him to fight this one.

One of the Cowboys beat writers on a podcast weeks alluded to other incidents that the general public was unaware of. And how the team has done a good job of basically making the incidents disappear while keeping all subjects involved silent.
If that's true and the Cowboys have been covering up criminal activity, they should lose draft picks. I can't support a team like that.

But I don't think that's what is happening here.

Cris Carter looks like he was right.

Carter has made his own mistakes but he used to work with the league office and i'm sure maintains plenty of contacts within that office. He clearly got wind of some of the details....

Well then they better tell us what it is because I'm steaming mad. 6 Games could ruin our season before it even starts. And it better be proof of him beating that girl senseless. I don't want a bunch of kid stuff like he's been doing. That doesn't get you 6 games.

I am guessing that there must be more out there in terms of off the field issues that are going to come to light.

Again, he's not being suspended for the DV issue according to reports, it's Conduct Unbecoming.

If true it's the NFL knowing it's going to be challenged then likely reduced to 3 games
If it's 6 games I wouldn't be surprised at all if they bypass the appeal stage, and go right to court. That is unless there is information out there we are unaware of.

Since when is little scuffles in a bar considered criminal activity? It is called stupidity but not criminal

I think that's a good strategy. Especially if ban under personal conduct and not DV. Did a complete end run around DV policy just to suspend him for same number of games. Arbitrary and capricious, in lawyer speak.

Fight it! Fight it! Fight it!

If the NFL is allowed to continue this farce, it will never end, and players throughout the league will be the victims of similar witch hunts.

Close Pandora's Box now.

Don't show up for the Week One game. Then let Goodell and Mara tell NBC why they don't have a game for them.

What other player has been suspended after charges against them were dropped?

This seems like a case of political correctness over due process.

I usually watch at least 4 NFL games a week, won't be doing that any more, sick of this nonsense.
