AP's first carry was for 9 yards and that was pretty much his only highlight.

I know it's his first game with a different team/system but it appears to me that the AP we all knew is not that guy anymore.

Maybe I'm wrong but AP seems like a round peg in a square hole with SP's offense and DB.

or a square peg in a round hole! lol

Seriously though, there are reports that he was barking at Sean Payton about play calling and that they needed to run the ball more. Sounds like a healthy situation! /s

Peterson looked a guy questioning the decision of going to New Orleans. Heck retirement would be better than standing on the sidelines like that for a HOF player like Peterson

He goes to a team that already had a 1,000 yard rusher on the roster, Ingram, and a team who is clearly trying to push a rookie, Kamara, to the top of the depth chart. Either he did a poor job scouting this team, before he made the decision to sign, or his ego got in the way and he clearly thought that he would just walk in the building and assume the lead work-horse title just by his name alone. If he wanted to be the work-horse, his butt should have signed w/ Cleveland. He's a guy that gets better the more he touches the ball. He's definitely out of his element in NO.

Maybe HC Peyton should be question, he has an older QB and lousy WR and still running the same offense? I think Brees at this stage would benefit from a more run oriented offense than the pass happy style when they actually had some very good outside weapons and TE

peterson is a washed up prima donna that needs to retire. he was coddled for the last decade and doesn't know how to be a team player.

Emmitt's record is untouchable. Those last 4 years of his career pretty much sealed it...in today's NFL very few teams will make an older RB a starter. Frank Gore is the exception over the last decade (he's 34) but he's still 5,000 yards short. Peterson may have had a chance at his pace earlier in his career but those seasons he missed pretty much ruled out any possibility of chasing Emmitt.

How is their OL? That came make the difference between a good back looking unstoppable, a great back looking average, an average back looking great, and a bad back looking decent.

Fair point. I don't know I wasn't watching the game that closely. I was flipping channels a lot. Had to catch the bachelor in paradise season finale.

Peterson had 6 rushes for 18 yards.
Ingram had 6 rushes for 17 yards
Kamara had 7 rushes for 18 yards.

All three Saints running backs must be at the same level because they all looked the same.

Probably just a completely awful OL play. Like trying to run through a sieve while avoiding the water coming through it.

Saints are not a very good running team.

I do not feel bad for him. He went there. He can deal with the fact that he is going to be a role player there and nothing more.
