I posted one of these threads long ago, but it has been a while and we have a lot of new members around here now, so I thought it would be good to ask this question again.

What do you do for a living?

Seriously, kind of a stay home dad but do some marine stuff on the side. Ranges from teaching Scuba to volunteering sea rescues.

I have a dbl degree in bio and chem which really aren't in use at this time. But, I love the ocean and anything around it.

I am fortunate that I don't have to be the bread winner and can pursue my passion. I have no regrets about not finishing medical school, that path wasn't for me and I see that now.

Good for you!! I always wondered what happened when a med student didn't finish. Are you stuck with the debt?

I am an Industrial Engineer. I focus on Planning Optimization in Supply Chain. Doing Supply Chain Planning and Production Network Optimization related jobs for the past 16 years.

Recently retired HS football coach and Athletic Director. Have also done some real estate investing, mostly flipping houses and condos over the last 20 years. Currently, sitting on my butt at the ranch.

Plastic Engineer. Part designer for most of my career. Designed a lot of cool things and some, well, not so cool things. Great example of a not so cool thing, I just recently designed a 'new & improved' variation for the Tampax Pearl. Doing so required countless hours, behind 1-way glass, observing focus groups of women ranging in age from early teens to ladies about to enter their menopause years. During this time, I lost a total of 12lbs. To the surprise of no one, the weight loss was not triggered by healthy eating and hours in the gym. Amazing how much weight a guy can lose when he has no appetite. SMH

I recently quit my job as a Falcon 50 captain for an aircraft charter company. I'm now a contract pilot in Falcon 50 and 900 and King Air 350, 200, and 90.

Real Estate Appraiser going on 42 years. The young guys tease me and say that when I stated, I drew the pictures of houses on stone Seriously, I did start taking pics of houses on those old poloraids you pull the black and white pic out the back and had to put gook on it to keep it. I remember saying "What's a fax machine?' and thinking OMG this invention is awesome. I remember having a monthly photo bill for over $1500 and a fed ex bill of around $1000. Then this wonderful thing called the internet came out and digital cameras so no more fed ex bill or photo bill. Probably will never retire but plan on cutting back some. Also a professional Packers and Mets fan.

No debt, my dad paid all tuition as I went along, undergrad and MS. I only had to keep a part-time job for that deal
