Peterson either needs to be the featured back or released. He's not a type of player that fits a RBBC.

Honestly, they should have tried for Charles, I think he would fit that offense far better than Peterson.

Peterson could bounce back, but people needed to recognize that he's OLD for a running back. He's 32, an age when 99% of running backs are out of the league.

Lynch looks like the better old running back right now, he's a year younger, plus taking a year off probably helped him physically. He's also had fewer major injuries I think.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...-adrian-peterson-didnt-sign-up-for-nine-snaps

"I didn't sign up for nine snaps, though. But unfortunately that's the way the game played out," Peterson told reporters Thursday, per ESPN's Mike Triplet

Yes, Adrian you did sign up for 9 snaps a game. When you go to a team that has a pass happy offense, has a starting running back in front of you and also has another running back that is better suited as a 3rd down back/pass catcher then you set yourself up as a guy who will only get 9 snaps per game.

Emmitt's record is untouchable. Those last 4 years of his career pretty much sealed it...in today's NFL very few teams will make an older RB a starter. Frank Gore is the exception over the last decade (he's 34) but he's still 5,000 yards short. Peterson may have had a chance at his pace earlier in his career but those seasons he missed pretty much ruled out any possibility of chasing Emmitt.

It's possible that Loomis and Peyton are not on the same page -- GM buying assets that the coach doesn't want or need.

What did AP think when he signed? He was going to be the feature back in a throwing offense?

Shame for Adrian.......tune in next week to see if he can make it 7 for 21 or 6 for 15 I know I can't wait.......

At that rate he will break Emmitts record when he's 73.
Apparently, AP has a problem with reality, reality of his current abilities, reality of his current profession, and reality of what's appropriate in regards to child rearing...I'm sure there more

Peterson had 4 rushing attempts today for 4 yards with a long run of 4 yards. That moves his season totals to 27 carries for 81 yards.

I was worried that Peterson would have a monster year with the Saints and eventually break Emmitt's rushing record. At this pace, I doubt he will get there.

And that's why I'm glad a lot of the arm chair GM's aren't in control of the Cowboys......

No clue why he signed there, unless their deal was far and away the best offer.

Alvin Kamara will be their # 1 back soon.

don't know why Ingram re-signed there either. Wasting his talents in a Payton offense.

Was listening to Sirius the other day and I can't remember who was slobbering all over Loomis mentioning that Ireland is now the #2 there. The saints have had several years to fix their D and have failed miserably.

Well I could "pat myself on my back" and say "#itoldyouso" to a specific user about AD ....but they know and I am sure they are being quiet about it...which in the end is the best thing...when they are quiet.

AP's first carry was for 9 yards and that was pretty much his only highlight.

I know it's his first game with a different team/system but it appears to me that the AP we all knew is not that guy anymore.

Maybe I'm wrong but AP seems like a round peg in a square hole with SP's offense and DB.

He's not what he once was, so hopefully Cowboys fans will stop fantasizing about him.

Once they drafted Kamara (to go along with Ingram), AP became expendable. The Saints should shop him to teams desperate for RB help.
