Man o man, you ain't kiddin. The club needs to make it clear to Elliott, that he is on thin ice and that the club will impose fines and suspensions independent of the league if he misbehaves anymore. This boy needs discipline from the club. Hopefully, the Jones family won't baby this boy. Get on his backside before its too late.
This is not going to happen. Jerry is loyal to a fault, and I honestly believe that Jerry thinks the Zeke is getting a raw deal here. He's as far from being on thin ice as you can get with Jerry.

If we go 3-3 without him I'll consider that a success. These next 3 weeks are going to be very tough games.
Well, I was trying to be optimistic. It could be real ugly. It is a tough road ahead. Worse, after 6 games off, and god only knows what he will be up to, how game ready will he be?? Bad time for this because to me the club was starting to play well.

STOP AND READ

Two people have been benched due to name calling that started due to some poster on here making a Sexist post.
Another member got benched for making a second sexist rant/post.

I don't care if the Judge gave a ruling against Zeke and happens to be a woman. That does not give ANYONE here carte blanche to go on some idiotic sexist rant about what women
should and should not be able to do.

If you feel the need to express your political, racial or sexist views ...please do so elsewhere as it will not be tolerated here.

If you cannot help yourself but to post those types of things you will be benched and you have your account here permanently suspended.

Well, that is the problem. In the end ole Jerry is not doing him any favours. Elliott IS getting a raw deal..no question about that. He also needs to be making better choices.

Maybe this will be a wakeup call for him. He hasn't been in any trouble since all this court business has started. We can hope.

How can a collective agreement over ride the US legal system...

Ive been a member of a union for 22 years here in Ontario Canada...and our collective agreement MUST be equal to or better than any legislated law or labour law...

Anyways, the whole process is corrupt...

Better Zeke serve the suspension now, this tea, was going nowhere this year.

Lets tank the season and score a top 5 pick (defensive player), Goodell may have done Dallas a favour, we will still have a very talented team with a potential high draft pick...

This SUCKS.

EDIT - It's probably been asked numerous times but I'm too depressed to be using the search so forgive me. Now that the suspension has been reinstated, can Zeke now file an appeal with Roger for a game reduction?

How does a travesty of justice and serving as a pawn in a PR process for the financial benefit of the owners serve as a wake up call for a player? If anything, it shows an inherent bias against him, that money trumps all, and that fundamental fairness can be disregarded by a CBA for the needs of the few (the owners). This entire process irks me. As much as I despise DV, I also despise a lack of justice. All I see is "might makes right", and that is Machiavellian, not rational, which is ironically, what is often used to implicitly rationalize DV.

Company policies can over ride laws for conditions of employment or causes for discipline and termination as long as they aren’t discriminating.

The NFLPA agreed and empowered the commissioners office to take discipline on these issues without depending on the justice system to arrive at convictions or guilty pleas.

Did Brady break any laws deflating footballs?

C’Mon Cowboy fans . Stop the whining. Elliott hasnt been a choir boy. While his Conduct hasn’t been determined criminal it defintely falls within the parameters as detrimental to the league.

He should go ahead and serve it just to be done with it, if the Cowboys can win at least 3 games without him that would be great.

Other than Morris long run, I don't think the Cowboys have had 1 successful drive without him on the field.

The NFL can and should be able to punish anyone who breaks the rules of the game. That is not a legal matter, but a matter of maintaining the integrity of your sport.

The domestic violence accusation against Elliott is a legal matter. By suspending him for it without due process, which is what the league is being allowed to do, they are sentencing him to be recognized as a woman beater in addition to any monetary loss that comes from that. This is not a power that should be given to any employer.

Imagine if your boss told you your pay was going to be docked because you've been accused of sexual harassment even though the person who investigated the claim said that the person accusing you of sexual harassment was not reliable and recommended that your company not punish you.

This is a poor precedent to set and strongly favors big business being able to do what it wants. Yes, the NFLPA gave them this power, but the courts can and should decide how far that power goes. When it goes as far as convicting an "innocent" man of a crime, then it's gone too far.
