That firm isn't the party and isn't currently representing the party (the NFL) tho. So that angle isn't happening.
Her husband's firm is in bed with the pro sports leagues. Gary Bettman used to work there. David Stern used to work there. According to Michael McCann, several associates at that firm have moved on to positions with the sports leagues.

Proskauer may not have been directly involved with this particular labor dispute, but there is an awful lot here which suggests conflict of interest. I just cannot believe it flew under the radar until a couple internet sleuths found it out. Why didn't Elliott's counsel raise an objection????

Which makes sense why the NFL wanted this in NY so bad.

Time to file a civil suit I'd say against the NFL. If Elliott knows he's innocent, he has to file a libel suit. I know it's hard to win but you can't just let em label you a woman beater if you know you aren't.
IF you know you aren't.
And another thing, O.J. didn't do it.

to compare the cases is so pathetic but I expected such from you
Blimey!
Another victim of U.S. education: non-erudite lad, that was an analogy, not a comparison.
I know Zeke is, ah, innocent. So innocent you'd let your daughter or sis date him. And so was O.J. as innocent.

The NFL haven’t convicted him of a crime only violation of the Personal Conduct Policy.

The Policy which was agreed upon is the core issue.

No, the NFL said he abused her and gave him 6 games. They “convicted” him of beating a woman multiple times. They(the NFL) said he used physical force against her resulting in injuries multiple times

While dv falls under the pcp, so does drug testing. So yeah, he violated the pcp on domestic violence(hence the 6 games and the threat of total banishment for the next accusation).

Being guilty of DV under the NFL PC Policy is not necessarily being called a “ women beater” as might be defined under the criminal justice system.

Basically the decision by the commissioners office is there was enough evidence to determine a violation which has a wide latitude.

I don’t assume he’s a women beater. I only assume there was enough evidence something happened to come to a conclusion it violated the policy.

Except the NFL said he was a woman beater....
