pre trial diversion is a plea in that in exchange for the prosecutor staying the charge, you agree to do X Y Z
He had to go to Anger Management Classes and counseling for a year and stay clean for a year

That is a court ordered adjudication......same thing as Probation Before Judgement..... both can end with clean records but both are still plea deals in any common sense reading

yep, up here we have diversion and then we have absolute/conditional discharges, similar to what Rice had to do

Means nothing

They will not rule on this as they are not in session. The Judge knew this I believe

Possibly, but it doesn't mean there are no judges there today or tomorrow. Only that there are no cases to be heard. They are still there and could issue "a brief administrative stay" as being requested. I know it's a longshot, but who knows?

I just think it is a lost cause... They are going to railroad him like they have

It is not a plea. You can keep saying it, but it just isn't true.

The very definition of a plea (or plea bargain) is you agree to plead guilty. He never did that. He pled not guilty in his one arraignment and never wavered from that in court.

We are talking about a specific legal maneuver taking place in a court of law. Words mean things. You are trying to call it a plea by completely changing the definition of that term as it applies in this context.

For example, suppose the Cowboys punt the ball 45 yards on their first possession and someone called that a turnover. You would say "that's not a turnover". Then the person says "well, they turned the ball over to the other team so in any common sense reading it is a turnover and I am going to tell people the Cowboys have 1 turnover." At that point, the person is taking a term with a specific meaning and just giving it their own personal definition which no football fan would recognize as accurate.

That's what you guys are doing with the term "plea".

Being suspended WITHOUT PAY is harm.
Well, in most industries it isn't considered "irreparable harm" because you can always just get paid later on if a suspension is overturned. That may be where she is coming from.

She demonstrated her cluelessness by talking about how it is "far too speculative" to consider Elliott making the Pro Bowl. I mean sure, his performance depends on many factors but seriously, the guy is a lock for the Pro Bowl (barring injury).

She's a classic case of a judge who first decided how she was going to rule, then looked for justification. It's exactly the opposite of how it's supposed to work, but SCOTUS judges do it all the time.

Instead of some of you playing attorneys when most of you know as much as I do (and I'm not an attorney)....let's support Zeke and let this thing play out. Now get out there Zeke and be GREAT!!

So someone Diehardblues aka Roger Goodell is now nowhere to be found... He did this last time until the other day. He only shows up when something happens in favor for the NFL...

Ya never know, if you don't try...
Or, at least hammer down a pattern of events, even with the mountain of evidence before.

Best to keep clean in these things, you know?

I agree 100% but sick of that dribble he has been spewing. You can read between the lines and see what he means. But I find it funny how he disappeared for 2 months until that Judge ruled in the favor of the NFL, because in his words he is sick of these “thugs” and he believes Zeke in fact hit the poor white girl. He was almost giddy over the ruling.
