I'll take you at your word that it really is not "schtick" for you and it's your real feelings on the subject. I think we were all giving you the benefit of the doubt on it - I know I was.

There really can't be many reasons to have this much hate for a QB with all Dak's accomplishments thus far. I sure hope it's not because Dak's complexion isn't as light as say Wentz's.
It's a terrible joke that he expects you to get.
And if you don't- you're dumb and deserve to be laughed at.

It's an attempt to get people to like a really crappy running joke through force of ego.
Sometimes it works.

I think if you look at the Bud Light commercials, the king looks like Wentz and that guy over to the king's right that keeps spewing "dilly, dilly" is RS...

Like Romo before him, Prescott has had more success targeting players other than Dez.

15+ yard targets
(2016-17) Prescott to...
Bryant 23 of 59 (39%) 587 yd 5 td 1 int 97.2
others 37 of 64 (58%) 1009 yd 9 td 0 int 141.9

(2013-14) Romo to...
Bryant 30 of 75 (40%) 982 yd 7 td 3 int 101.9
others 52 of 108 (48%) 1415 yd 14 td 2 int 126.1

The difference between Romo-to-Dez and Dak-to-Dez isn't on the intermediate-to-deep throws. It's on the shorter throws.
I appreciate this and stand corrected, though by intermediate I typically mean 10-20 yards. That may be incorrect terminology.

Out of curiousity, do you have statistics of passing between the numbers and outside the numbers? I feel like Prescott prefers throwing out of the numbers, whereas Romo used a bit more of the field. That's just a gut feel and could be completely wrong, but if you've got the data I'd love to know!!!

I appreciate Romo explaining the problem between Dez and Dak without really laying the blame on either. Dak simply isn't playing to Dez's strengths yet, which is what several here have pointed out in the past. It took Romo a while to build trust to put the ball where Dez can win it so who knows when or if Dak will get there.

Well come none of that led to a NFC championship game appearance????

.

Not because he's the worst player in the world but because he's not elite and this is the future at QB of the Dallas Cowboys we're talking about here. I want the QB to be the make up to cover the blemishes of the team not the team having to cover up the acne of the QB.
Cool story Bro. As long as he puts up Elite numbers, Plays like an Elite QB and Performs like an Elite player in crunch time and Big Games, I could care less if he's ELITE. :omg:

That's because you cheerleaders pass it off as "schtick".

Schtick this. Dak Prescott is not nor will he ever be a franchise QB and I hate every single second I see him under center for the Dallas Cowboys.

I don't know how I can say it more clearly.

What a stupid post

If all it took was the quarterback having a connection with a receiver, then we'd be lining the shelves with Super Bowl trophies. There have been a variety of reasons why Dallas didn't make NFC Championship Game appearances and pretty much all of them had little to do with Romo and his ability to connect with receivers.

I suppose you blame Dak for Dallas not making it to the championship game last year? Or is that not on the agenda?

49 TDs and 8 INTs through his first 24 games. I think he's a franchise quarterback...
Correct me if I'm wrong but during the game didn't they put up a cool looking display of how that's the best ever td to int ratio ever for 24 games. And he didn't throw a pick in Sunday's game but added to his stats with a rushing td and a passing td.

well barring injury he is most likely the Cowboys quarterback the next dozen years so maybe it's time to take your unique insight to another board...maybe the Eagles fans will appreciate it....

He's just a no-talent, insecure, *** clown with no self-respect; who's sense of value is derived from the amount of attention he receives on a message board. Clearly, a sad shell of an individual, this @Risen Star is.

Dude the amount of vitriol in your posts is excessive. I don't always agree with Risen, and I think he's fair game to take a poke at given that he freely takes pokes at others, but you're now getting into character assassination, which I don't think I've ever seen Risen take part in. Maybe dial it down a bit.

OK. You didn't answer the question. Was Dak to blame for the team being one and done in the playoffs last year?

It's fairly simple. If you don't blame Dak, but you blame Romo when the same problems existed when he was at quarterback, then your agenda is clear. (Not that it wasn't clear to begin with, I just wanted to see if you would admit it.)

It's silly to blame either QB when both have consistently been among the best in the league. Yet some still don't understand the team concept.

In six playoff games, Romo had eight TD passes and two interceptions. His QB rating was better than 100 in three of the games. But you go ahead and keep using baseless words like "turnover prone." It makes your argument look so much smarter.

Anyway, I'm not going to make this about Romo's play. The criticism he gave was fair. Dak and Dez have not worked out the kinks in their on-field relationship. They need to keep working on it because the more they can connect, the more dangerous this offense will be.
