Do you think another team might try to sign him?

Does tendering open the possibility of losing him?

Should we try and lock him up long term?

If a team does give him and offer sheet, do you match or take the first round pick?

A first-round tender will cost $3.91 million. Do you think it's necessary to pay Irving that to keep him?

Personally, I'd take a 2nd-round pick for him right now.

I never get the logic behind giving up someone who is playing like a first rounder for an unknown. Even a first round pick is an unknown. With as little luck as we've had getting "war daddy's" on the D-line we should do everything possible to retain Lawrence and Irving. I would like to franchise tag Lawrence to ensure this year wasn't a one time thing.

Because this guy is always an eye-wink from a suspension.

He was trouble at Iowa State, which is why he didn't get drafted. Then, he couldn't get noticed in Kansas City and had a reputation for being difficult to motivate.

This summer, he gets suspended for PEDs.

What next? There'll be something.

A young defensive lineman that has shown 10 sack potential would have an offer the first day of free agency with a second round tender IMO. It would really force your hand to sign him to a long term deal.

A first round tender, with Irving may be a 50/50 chance someone extends him an offer sheet. For a little more cap room spent, it gives more flexibility

Who cares? He has been producing at a high level this year and works well in tandem with Lawrence. He had one suspension for PED's and has been a great player otherwise. He turned what was spotty good play last year to consistent good play this year.

He's good, but I just don't trust him.
