Is there any single draft pick (non QB) who can cover Dak’s shortcoming

My question is in somewhat tempering draft impact. Usually i get hyped for the draft but this year i just don’t feel it knowing that if we get the same play out of the QB as we got this year with Dak’s accuracy problems, nothing else really matters.

Dallas already has best RB in the league. Does a speed WR even help if Dak cant hit them?

As we saw vs Seattle even if the defense holds the teams to 150 yards it doesn’t matter if offense isn’t any better than the Campo version of this offense.

I think an electric RB in the passing game probably helps Dak the most

Who that is? I don't know

No, you're looking in the wrong area. We need a new Qb's coach. Yes, we're getting one, as Wilson was one of the sacrificial lambs.

Dak needs to be developed. It was in his scouting reports. Thing is, we're notoriously bad about developing players. Here's hoping the new QB's coach is a real QB whisperer and can change that!!!!

Nothing that would satisfy you since you don't understand that Daks shortcomings were more to do with the teams shortcomings than Daks.

Te that can stretch the seem to open the underneath routes back up. Not sure if one is rated that high. Your the one that's gonna have to tell Jason he has to come off the field!

Quenton Nelson at OG.

He's better than Martin coming out of college. You put him at LG between Frederick and Smith and holy hell, you can plow teams to death.

Doubtful he falls to 19 IMO. He'll go in the Zach Martin range(top 15).
Lamp fell last year cause he was a good prospect. Nelson is an elite prospect at guard. jmo

To what extent does an organization continually orchestrate single draft strategies (Romo-friendly, Dak-friendly, etc.) to compensate for the limitations/ceilings of the QB at the expense of developing and improving the overall team?
I would constantly want competition for the QB position (until I am certain that I have a 'franchise' QB), & also with the hopes of avoiding financially suffocating the franchise with undeserving high-priced QB contracts.

In other words, once you have your QB the organization can allocate resources in upgrading/fixing other parts of the team.

I am in minority, but I am upgrading the QB position early in the draft.

OG Quenton Nelson,Notre Dame...up-grade over cooper...give Dak a better level of security.

WR Calvin Ridley,bama...he is the only receiver Id be ok with at 19...SERIOUS up-grade over TWill....and eventual WR1 in a few.

DT Maurice Hurst,Michigan...adding a fat-belly run stuffer to our DLine could get Dak the ball back and in better field position.

but the best addition.......TIME.

Dak was good enough for 24 straight games...unless those little aliens from space jam came and took his talent I don’t think any special requirements are needed other than what every other QB should have. I think the rest of the league figured out what our offense was doing and our coaching staff had 0 counter punches to throw back.

Where we need upgrades... receiving TE and a WR with reliable hands. Witten should be the 2nd blocking TE and Twill should have never been resigned. Dez is what it is. He should be cut imo, but I have my doubts it will actually be done.

But to answer the question...a new Head Coach and O Coordinator would be the best thing to do to help Dak. While the personnel isn’t perfect and could be better, I really don’t think that’s the problem.

Yes, speed on offense will help but the OP is correct. The limitations of the QB will not maximize the talent of the overall offense. Half the time he doesn't see it and the other half he simply won't attempt the throw for fear of a turnover.

But look at it this way. You remove all excuses for him by upgrading the talent and you provide a good supporting cast for his successor if (when) he fails.

You people are crazy. You got the best damn RB on planet Earth and it's still not good enough.

What do you mean? I want a RB to use on the field with Zeke..not in place of Zeke..I want a RB that is basically a WR..like Kamara or McCaffrey..I feel like that's a mismatch that can help Dak tremendously..what's wrong w that? I'm not giving that guy carries..

Zeke, Beasley, Switzer...how many guys would you like on the roster to NOT use in that role?

Zeke can do that, they don't utilise him in that role vet often. Why would you think they would with another back?

This coaching staff would never figure out how to use a player like this.

A QB who can throw an accurate ball outside of 10 yards would be the place to start.
