I think he is good, but not that good (For an MVP case). Since the beginning of the season I thought that the Eagles as a team were very talented with all the new additions (FA) at WR and RB, when Wentz went down I knew that any other "ok" QB could make the team look as good as Wentz did.

I know its kind of stupid comparing this season with last season (because he was a rookie) but remember that many Eagles fans (and sports media) complained that Wentz had nobody to throw to? I really think that could be Dak's case too.
The main problem for Weintz last season was that the Eagles O-Line started off well then got decimated when Lane Johnson got suspended and then it just got worse in addition to not having many weapons.

I thought the Cowboys OLine played well last season, still had three Pro Bowlers - the issue with Prescott is that he needs an obscene amount of time to get it done with his arm, the amount of time he had in his rookie season was well, I haven't seen anything like it. He had so much time to throw the ball as I previously said, Brian Hoyer would have produced similar results.

Did you not know that the three game skid you guys had last year saw the worse QB play in the HISTORY of your franchise? Name the worse QBs in your history and Dak was worse than them during that span of games. Carter, Hutchinson, Weeden, even Ryan Freakin' Leaf never played a worse three games than him. Dak managed to play worse than all of them. It was a pathetic display of QBing. And don't let the fact that every team in the league passed him over three timeat least and some passed him over four, dissuade you from your currant line of thought. And right now most feel justified in doing so. But guess what? . Dak is the bomb.....lol
Ur football analysis is terrible!!!!!! Those guys were all awful!!!!

Foles would never have the same success anywhere else. Eagles should give him new 3 year deal for about 15 Million to be backup to Wentz, in case he gets hurt again.

Nick Foles = Steve Beuerlein = Jeff Hostetler.

Guys who are OK as starters but are simply much better suited to be backup types.

If someone pays Foles starter money, they are idiots.

This was the thought process for years and it simply is not true. What was found to be true is there are guys who are just system QBs. If they are put in situations where they have to be anything other than what they are they will fail. Foles has had his success with offenses that have RPOs in them. He did well under Kelly running the same type of offense.
So if a team has those elements already in their offense he would do well in that system. Smart coaches know how to put players in situations where they can succeed. Most teams get into trouble trying to make a systems guy scheme diverse. It's a disservice to the player as well as the team. Give Foles an offense with RPOs and a decent defense and he will fine.

Actually, I'd say your thought process is simply not true!!!!!!!

Foles is inconsistent. That is the problem. He's OK sometimes, and then he implodes. Watch him closer, might save you the trouble of having to backtrack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would Foles take that??? Win or lose, after this year, some team will give him another chance to be a starter.

I have sir. He is inconsistent when asked to do things in a traditional offense. When he runs plays with a RPO his accuracy goes way up. Maybe you should look into that. I've seen every game he has played as an Eagle. In both Kelly's and Pedersons offense.

He will not have the same success if he leaves the system. Unless some foolish team (Minnesota) offers a 1st or 2nd round pick for him, I think he stays and gets extended.

Cowboys have a very young and very strong team. They have had great teams through the Romo years as well ..... but it all comes down to the FO and Coaching staff that screws you guys . Hey , they even made a movie about Garrett

He is definitely a system quarterback, but his only implosions have occurred outside of that system. He’s 18-5 in his last 23 games as the Eagles start-to-finish quarterback.

Give him a QB-minded OC and he could take a middling team to the playoffs. I’d trade a 2nd for that. The team that gets Rosen or Josh allen Should trade for nick and have the kid sit for 2 years, then keep nick another 3 as the backup.

These great teams I've never seen. A few great players sure, but 1-48 hell 1-22 I'm not sure I can buy into that.

Over half the teams in the NFL are foolish teams, and those are the ones who tend to need quarterbacks.

The Eagles got second round picks for AJ Feely and Kevin Kolb. Nick Foles is twice the QB as either of them. What the problem of most cowboys fans is they think like their FO. On QBs, you can invest in bridge a QB if it helps your franchise guy (or one you believe to be a franchise guy) get ready. That is money well spent. So what you've spent $20 million over two years to protect a $200 million asset. I think you will now start to see how foolish it was using the fourth pick in the draft on a RB. Ramsey should have been the pick. He'll be a star for 10 years. Maybe Zeke gets a second contract. At that position nothing should be assumed.
Even on contracts you guys are behind the curve. If you believed Lawrence was your guy he should have been locked up by November. Yes you have the "tag" as a fail safe but it is a big chunk of your yearly cap. Having him signed long term puts money back into your pocket. Look at scheme. You have this thought that a offensive/defensive scheme from 20 years ago is the blueprint for future success, lol. It isn't. The brilliance of Belicheck is he adapts his schemes to be cutting edge. Who used the two TEs system to perfection? Who elevated the slot receiver to control the clock and the middle of the field? Yep, that guy. Jerry is a clown when it comes to building a team. And everybody around him is afraid to tell the emperor he has no clothes on.

They go with Wentz and try everything they can to keep Jim Schwartz as D-Coordinator. It's clear that with Pederson coaching the offense and Schwartz coaching the defense, that it's the best offense/defense coaching duo in the league. Wentz is still in his rookie deal and at the very worst for the Eagles Foles' success just makes Wentz look less appealing when his rookie deal is up. That could mean a better deal for them or being able to trade him away for a lot and as long as Pederson is there...this is going to be a dynamic offense for a while.
