for me it would be Newman and Troy Hambrick

I thought Newman was the next Deion with his speed.

I loved Hambrick averaging 5.1 ypc as Emmitt’s backup and his size and speed which Emmitt had lost at the end. I thought he could be a young Jerome Bettis.

Also loved Antonio Bryant and Derek Ross. The early 2000s were full of splash guys who never got it done consistently. Drugs seem to be a common factor except for Newman.

In a preseason game against the Dolphins (I think), I saw pro bowl level closing speed and instincts from Matt Johnson on the one play that he was in on before getting hurt. And I’m not being facetious. I thought he’d be good.

I also thought Ben Bass, Ryan Williams and Alan Ball could be players.

Mr. Joey Galloway
Thought he was going to be greatness. He was good for other teams but due to the QB situation at the time he was never was able to produce here.

Add me to the Drew Henson fanwagon.

Also, Danny Noonan. That was the first year I had gotten into the draft and thought he'd usher in the next Doomsday D era.

Mo, hands down...

At the same time; I remember screaming at my TV, and being completely furious the very second we drafted Barbie Carpenter..

God I hated that pick sooo much....

Best finesse player we ever had, AKA, total puss on the field...
