Our Cap Situation In Visual Form

As bad as Wittens contract is hes still is a top 15 TE and is a solid possession guy.

You are dreaming about the good old days. He is done and has been for several years now. Complete liability to the team.

Romo's $9 mill hurts. Hasn't taken a snap in 3 years and still paying for it in cap space. Oh well, off the books after this year.

Yep, I can see Dez, Lee and Crawford gone after this season. Witt too. Of the 4 though, I think Dez has a chance to redeem himself with a solid year. It's Witt's decision when he leaves too. Another year and nothing to show for it, I can see him retiring. Man, imagine the whining on here if all 4 were gone and no replacement. We're wringing our hands about Hitch and he's JAG

Yes, by all means let's let the players decide when they want to quit playing. That's how it's done everywhere else in the league, especially New England.

I think he's done too but TE's in this league are blah except for the top 5 or so.

Marty B has been one of the better TE's up until this year.

Nice visual (slightly more contrast between colours would've been nice).

Hey, can you do one by positional spend? Online, dline, RB, WR, secondary, QB.

One for us and one for NE.

The biggest problem is that you can get the production Witten gives you (and better blocking) from a journeyman for not much more than the league minimum. He isn't worth $7 million per year. It's absurd he is on the books for that amount this year.

Completely agree. I would love to still have him on the roster but at a much lower price.

I think as long as Garrett is here he will stay but if Garrett were to get fired then the Cowboys would move on.

It is absurd that the tight ends on this roster are eating up about as much cap space as all of the QBs, RBs and DBs COMBINED.

One TE in reality. And you're right we should have made a decision on Witt last year. Best TE class in years. We decided to go all in on Taco. May work out who knows but the Giants and Bucks both got a good one

Thanks a lot for doing this. This should go viral.

It clearly shows the model of a winning franchise and where we are.

Clearly OL, Safety and Corner are three major differences.

QB is obvious because of Daks contract.

DL I'm sure is due to the one year deal we have for Lawrence.

We are very lucky that our young, cheap corners can play.

We have Jarwin. And I am serious about his potential.

This is a version of a graphic I made a while back; someone grabbed the design from the Eagle's board. I took this from their board after a Eagle fan buddy pointed me to this to bust my stones. Sadly, I began to look at the Eagles' cap situation so I could fire back, but realized halfway through that their situation is much better than ours due to the value they are getting for their money. I think I wanted to cry. I hate that team so much but have to tip my hat to them.

The final bitter pill? It's the middle of March and I have to get the snowblower out again. Damn Southern New Jersey weather...summers are 90-100 degrees with near 100% humidity, then we get these nor'easters that dump this crap out of nowhere. My neighbor still has a damn SB LII banner up. I'm going to burn it down one night.

Agreed on the very cool graphic! And not to pile on you bro but to makes matters worse you have those outrageous taxes that New Jersey is famous for. Of course I'm in California which is just as bad but misery always enjoys company.

Almost all of those players besides Fred and Martin have a concern of some sort. But atleast they all are capable. It’s a disgrace what we pay Crawford. Who has injury history AND no history of being a force.

Dez takes up almost DOUBLE of Crawford's cap hit, and Crawford has been better than Dez than last two years.

Why would you bring up Crawford and rag on him, but not Dez? Weird.

Yep TEs, RBs, and WRs need to be cut down considerably. Keep investing in the trenches
