have the chief architects of those 18 organizations changed during that time period? of course! you see, we are STUCK with the Jones family trying to prove THEY can win a Super Bowl. Jimmy won those Super Bowls...the TRUTH is that the Jones family have 2 playoff wins in the last 23 years...and they continue to be the chief architects...if these paltry results have not encouraged them to change....and has not caused the fans to withhold their resources...I'm afraid NOTHING ever will. 23, 24 25...is that a big difference from 20, 21 or 22 years? WE...the FANS...have financed their aspirations. We....the FANS...have directly and indirectly co-signed their grandiose vision. My interest has waned the last 3 years....and honestly...I hope thousands more join me. Our only hope for change is us...the FANS!
First of all you need to learn the concept of a paragraph. The ellipses and caps are bad enough but that monstrosity is an eyesore.
You are in the offseason arguing about the team. If that denotes a decline in your interest then I don't see how other's joining you is going ot make a whit of difference. You are obviously emotionally invested.
And once again with the pointless media narrative of X playoff wins in the past X years. The truth is that Jerry was the GM and owner while Jimmy was coach and the SB when they left. I get that you want to buy what Jimmy was selling back in the 90s when he was being a primadonna but it's not binary simple. Nevermind that what caused Jimmy to go off the deep end was Jerry brokering a deal for a S.
And spare me this notion that there has been no change. The teams methods have changed markedly multiple times over the years. They changed to ultra conservative ninnies with Gailey. They changed to a high intensity training environment with a focus on big school drafting with Parcells. They changed to a laissez faire country club environment drafting from small schools with Wade. Garrett saw the return to the running game and emphasis on the line of scrimmage. In recent years with McClay and Stephen they have stopped spending big in VFA and focused more on big schools.
Jerry Jones has obviously taken a step back but quite frankly this notion that changing the coach or GM is going ot solve all of the teams problems is oversimplified nonsense. I really wish that fans would stop pretending they knew what the solution was especially when its a single simple thing. And then of course admit that the replacement could easily be worse.
It's real easy to call for someones job and denounce. It's quite another thing to find a good replacement and improve. The fact of the matter is more than half of the teams in the NFL have more playoff and championship droughts and that is despite them trying what you consider to be a panacea in hiring a new GM.
