Imagine Dez a Packer OMG having Rodgers throwing to him ouch.... would we look like fools at the end of the day.....!!

Dez still has a lot of talent just isn't being utilized correctly...

Dez would have a career best season in GB. And I don't like Rodgers.

The biggest thing he has going against him is like Beckham..

Dez is a freakshow and doesn't know how to show gratitude for what has been given him.

Dallas is going to move on.

lol gratitude for what was given to him? man the posting guidelines here are too strict

It would be fantastic watching Rodgers' head explode as Dez drops ball after ball. What would be even more fun is to see Dez throw Rodgers under the bus.

I think too many people do not understand that money paid to the players..

is team money.

It is given for services received.

No services..

no money.

Its the same where you work.

Whether you work for a company or self-employed.

Next question.

Dez had some really good years for this team but he is almost 30 years old...I know you like him but it isn't realistic to think all of the sudden he'll be infinitely better in another system. It could happen sure but it is not 100% guaranteed. Getting old sucks...especially in NFL years.

If they cut him they still have to pay him some one will sign him and he will make more money than he would have if he stayed

I can't imagine Dez as a Packer because he's not the type of receiver they try to acquire. Their receivers have to learn all the route trees and be able to easily move positions with little communication. Not only do they need to know the route trees but understand the concept of the route tree so they know why they are running the route they are running. It took Dez a couple years to learn our playbook and still got confused on audibles, causing interceptions because he wasn't where he was supposed to be. I don't doubt Rodgers could throw the ball to Dez, but Dez is too dumb for that system. Not sure why everyone keeps on bringing up GB as a great place for Dez. It may be the worst place for him in the NFL.

Would LOVE to see him throwing a tantrum on the sidelines, catching and fumbling a ball to us in the 4th quarter. Would be awesome....just sayin'....you are being emotional about an aging player that costs WAY too much.

The walls are about to close in on Dez Bryant.

The Cowboys aren't paying him his current salary next year. He says he won't take a pay cut.

But free agency lingers on. The money is drying up. The draft is around the corner. Rosters are cementing around the league.

Whenever Dallas makes their counter offer, it will exceed what teams have to offer on the open market. It'll be "take it or leave it", and he'll either stay where he's comfortable for a LOT less money, or he'll leave in defiance and take an even lesser prove-it deal elsewhere.

A team out there might be about to get a really good receiver for very cheap. Green Bay? New Orleans? New England? Seattle? Philadelphia?

The biggest thing Dez has going against him right now is that I don't think the Cowboys really care if he's here or not.

There are alot of teams out there with plenty of cap space and money to spend (and they will still have that money by June) so if the Cowboys really try to low ball Dez and ask him to take to big a pay cut, Dez may opt to leave and take the chance that he can get more from another team (and in my opinion he would) even taking a 1 year deal. It's a fine line the Cowboys need to walk in this deal. I think whatever pay cut the Cowboys ask him to take they will give him the chance to make it up through incentives

If you were making $200,000 per year and your boss says hey I will pay you $100,000 per year or I can fire you, if you can't find another job paying more than $100,000 ----you are going to say "thanks boss" can I polish your shoes too? Thanks for keeping me around.

Affectionately yours Boss,

Dez

You’re clearly lost.

Now stop quoting me and go create another Dez thread.

I hope we keep him but the best thing he can do for his career is to leave Dallas and go to a team with a QB and real coach.

He'll go to the HOF if he does that.

You could say that about almost any really talented player the Cowboys have on the Roster. TBPH.

Sounds like incentive to cut him then. Might give us a shot at the division.

Niners still have tons of cap space left (47m) they could offer him a 1 year deal for 12-13M so could many other teams which is why the Cowboys have to be carefull in how they approach this and how much of a pay cut they ask him to take and whether or not he can make it back with incentives

You’re wrong about that. I guarantee you that the Cowboys’ FO does not want to see Dez in a Commanders, Giants or God-forbid Eagles uniform.
