A lot of things have happened to reshape the Dallas Cowboys this offseason. There is always roster overhaul, but this year, with the retirement of Jason Witten, and the decision to cut Dez Bryant and Orlando Scandrick, it seems like the Cowboys have moved into a place where new leaders are going to have to emerge.

But it's not just the players. While the team kept Jason Garrett, Scott Linehan, and Rod Marinelli, they have a new special teams coordinator, and replaced most of the key coaches just below these guys - coaches who tend to have the closest relationship with the players in their position groups.

I'm excited by these changes, and think the team will be much better for them. Here's a rundown of some of the things that are getting me excited, not in any particular order. Which ones move you the most?

Kris Richards addition is better than some know or think about. And as big big Of Dez fan as I was, I'm excited about Hearns. If he's healthy , it will be fun

I saw a lot of good things out of the rookie DB's last season and really looking forward to see how much they have advanced. Of course seeing what Richard brings to the table to help these young guys take the next step

I'm torn between the extreme versatility of Lewis Neal and the prospect of him playing FB, DT, QB, CB, WR, OL, and LS. Or the budding rap career of Cole Beasley with or without secret sauce.

Revamped WR group and possibly being wrong about a new LB upgrade. I remember not thinking much of Sean Lee and being pleasantly surprised, hope to get a repeat of wrongness...:starspin:

Keeping Garrett...oh, wait, moment of insanity there. Keeping him counteracts all the good things.

Other than that, Bringing Richard is as a coach. As well as a few others.
Revamped OL and added LB help.

I'm excited about our linebackers, the young secondary, and the Oline being potentially better than ever.
