its going to come down to the teams. Does the team and the RB coach get the most out of the runner? I told people on this board. yards dont matter, TOP doesnt matter if you cant get in that end zone.

If the Giants are smart and use him well in the red zone while we re trying to pass and cant complete, guess whos got the better rb?

We know Zeke can break for the big ones, and we know what he can do. We also need to utilize him a bit better and there isnt many RBs better than him at this point. Our RB coach is really good, but if our OC doesnt figure it out, it wont make a difference.

Never saw him ppplay .
But I think if giant's pick him
#2 he ought to be pretty good.
Each RB is on different
Team. So hard to compare
Different OL , coaching, passing game etc.

Coming out of college? Probably Barkley. Saw him play three times in college and he was head and shoulders above anyone else on the field. He ran a KO back for a TD in one game I saw him in. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. He is a real stud.

Is he better than Zeke? Maybe. Too early to know. He’s certainly got a better reputation as far as character goes.

The real question is can the midgets put enough talent around him?

Both.

But Zeke is headed down the Henry Melton path. He'll be a defensive tackle at this body pace.

He's asking who the better prospect was

Who were they playing against when you saw him in those three games?

As a sophomore, Zeke ran for 696 yards in three games.
220 against Wisconsin for the Big Ten Championship
230 against #1 Alabama in the Sugar Bowl
246 against Oregon to win the National Championship

76 total carries for 696 yards. What's Barkley done?

It was pretty obviously Barkley, wasn’t it? Zeke wasn’t seen as a truly elite talent but what made him special was that he was above average to great at every single skill that a running back could have. Had the Cowboys not drafted him a lot of mocks had him falling as far as the teens. Barkley on the other hand was widely considered the best player in the draft and it just came down to would he go first or second.

It's not obvious, obviously. It's debatable. Zeke was most certainly considered an elite talent. We have no idea
where he'd fall if Dallas hadn't taken him. Mocks? Mocks!?! Really !?! (lol j/k) Let's not forget that the reason the Giants
took him at 2 was because of Dallas' success with Zeke.

It’s fair to say. Although I do think the top end of Zeke’s draft also had better other prospects.

Goff and Wentz would have went above all the other QB’s this past draft, had they been in it. I believe.

I do agree with your assessment of Zeke and Barkley though. I am a Penn State Alumni. I love Saquon Barkley. His physical talent is overall better than Zeke. That’s not a knock on Zeke who is also an incredible talent, but Barkley’s size/speed/power/explosiveness is a notch above Zeke.

That being said Zeke has no weaknesses. He doesn’t everything well. I also think his Vision is better than Saquon. Saquon’s vision is good. But he misses holes occasionally or makes the wrong decision. Zeke’s vision is elite.

I personally liked Zeke better...but mainly because of the history of PSU RBs

Last year I saw Barkley play against Ohio State and USC. I know he had over 300 total yards against USC in Rose Bowl. Did well in both games. Saw him play a patsy in 2016 but can’t remember who.

My point earlier was that it remains to be seen who’s better, but where Barkley had a higher rating than Zeke was character. He also compared well to Zeke in several areas.

My comparison of the two RBs strengths compared to each other:
Zeke
1. Has more power than Barkley.
2. Has excellent speed. Not as much as Barkley
3. Excellent receiver- so is Barkley.
4. Great blocker- better than Barkley.
5. Zeke is strong conditioned athlete- Barkey is better conditioned and stronger.

Barkley
1. Less power than Zeke.
2. More speed than Zeke.
3. As good as Zeke as receiver
4. Not as good a blocker as Zeke.
5. Much stronger and better conditioned than Zeke.

Again...pretty close in skill but remains to be seen who’s better in NFL.

Zeke is a better NFL prospect,He can get the dirty yards and most of the yards in the NFL is dirty yards.Barkley is a better pass catcher though.

I think the biggest thing that sets them apart, and I havent seen anyone bring it up yet is Zeke has the ability to run between the tackle and get you dirty yards, Barkley doesnt. Didnt he lead college in getting hit behind the line of scrimmage or something?
