He wasn't keen on going in anyways, the ageless wonder, still cranking it. Respect. I think Wille Gault is still not far off those times either. If a team signed him then would that keep him from entering the HOF this year?
FalseAdd a second to it and still faster than Witten ever ran ROFL
yes, thats just a joke
i just timed the vid and had him at 4.39 and 4.43. So...assuming the distance is correct...he is in the 4.4 range.I don't buy the time but still impressive. People in their 40's can still do what they did in their 20's......just a longer recovery and in short bursts.
I am closer to 50 than 40 and can still throw a fastball in the mid-90's. But, it is only for a few pitches then my arm is done for a week
Sign him now. Man... Why haven't we made the call yet???
Let him live!

Yeah, right...a 4.4 40yd dash...hand-timed...by either friends or people he hired...

Dusted off my stopwatch and have now timed this dash 22 times.
After practicing repeatedly in order to consistently and fairly anticipate the absolute start and to coordinate my stops with the click motions of the two timers’ hands, the consistent times I’ve gotten, from my 16th thru 22nd attempt, are between 5.08 and 5.12
I would’ve liked to have seen the timers’ hands in action at BOTH the start and the finish because, IMHO, they’re giving TO a generous start.
In the beginning, I was clicking my stopwatch at the first twitch of a start, which gave 5.3-plus, but then, to be fair, I backed off a little until his hands were clearly off the ground. Once I coordinated this, and could regularly match the timers’ click-stop motions, the best I ever got was 5.12Yeah, even if you go off the timestamp, it is 5+.
You mean 4.7?I'm 1 year away from 44 and I couldn't run a 7.4.
Much like the majority of the planet...
