Two things are keeping this from happening. A second-round pick the Cowboys don't want to part with and an expiring contract on a guy who is holding out. I don't think any Tweets are gonna jump-start it. Honestly, it's getting a little annoying.

Football players don't necessarily have the same leverage as NBA players, but I think it's a real possibility if Thomas is persistent enough and willing to compromise on financials when discussing an extension in Dallas

This has the same feel as when Ray Lewis hinted at wanting to be a Cowboy so the Ravens would
sweeten their deal in negotiations.

I'm good either way. If it were me, I'd stick with the original 4th Rd we were willing to offer for Thomas.
If it happens, I think he's a type of player that teaches others. So, I don't mind the age factor.
If it doesn't happen, we have a talented young secondary that finally will be allowed to play more aggressively.

Earl is holding out for a trade....he’s played his last down for the Hags.

IMO Dallas will finalize a trade by the second week of TC and will overpay. It will be a Jerry move and put an arse load of pressure on the team.

I think it’s best to wait until next offseason to bring him on. An additional year of developing our current safeties is for the best if the alternative means giving up premium draft picks.

People forget that when Thomas leaves in free agency, the hawks will get a 3rd rd draft pick (compensatory ).

So whatever a team offers in a trade has to be more than that. Otherwise even he sits and leaves they get a 3rd

any comp pick they’d get would be for the following season, though, and later picks are generally worth less.

im also not sure hes necessarily going to break the bank on a contract next season, either. hell be 30 at that point. a lot depends on how he plays this year.

If he's honestly for real about wanting to sport the star, he'll land in Dallas soon enough,it'd be fantastic if he was so fashionably attired for this 2018 season, but I can waito_O

And hopefully they don’t choose to sign anyone premier in FA themselves and ultimately cancel our their future pick

Were a mediocre talented to slightly below talented with a mediocre coach, we need some talent infusion. Otherwise 8-8 here we come, that being said the margin's of win and losses in the NFL are so small.
