Yeah, let's ignore the rehab, mental council and everything else.

Those are major, major steps for an addict. That actually takes responsibility, effort and hard work.

As a former addict, I can safely say those steps aren't made lightly. Major turning point in my life, hopefully it is for him too.

I’m ignoring it.

Interesting. Fast cars, partying and women...not needing weed for medical purposes. Good job taking ownership, Randy, instead of excuses.

Bingo....if this is how he truly feels then we will have a fantastic addition to the line this year...excited for him

He has proof backing up what he has stated. Two years of compliance, with no problems. The only thing left for him to do is ignore us "perfect" fans , and get acclimated to pads, hitting, and game speed.

More than anyone Gregory should be praising Jerry for sticking with him and believing in him. I honestly wouldn't have.

Man I hope he is, not only for the Cowboys sake but for the sake of himself and his family. From a football perspective if he can get to where the Cowboys thought he could get to, this DLine should be pretty scary for offenses.

Uuuuuuum he sacked Carson Wentz in 2016

I was referring to his first season. He played 244 snaps that year without a sack. He was only allowed to play two games in 2016 with the suspension appeals.

The point is, so far, he's just a guy. And he hasn't played in a long, long time. Can he beat out Kony Ealy and Dorance Armstrong?

I salute those who made it through this very difficult affliction

Yes, tough to do, not everyone does.

We can separate the man from the football player, and root for him personally while not believing he'll be the savior of the Dallas pass rush or the best DE on the team.

He has to do it on the field, on a consistent basis, game after game. Something he's not done so far, would love to see it both for him personally and for the Cowboys, but at this point he's JAG...

And we don't even need him to be that.

Lawrence has the LE spot on lock.

On the right we have Charlton, Armstrong, Gregory, and a few other guys as well. That's a great situation IMO.

David Irving hurt us but he'll be back in October.

So you're not one of those who say the d-line is trash, correct?

From a business standpoint it's low risk, high reward. He's still on a rookie deal and we'd have gained little by cutting him loose. Also, if he gets well, you want him to get well while with us so we're in the driver's seat when it comes time for him to get a new contract if he can actually contribute. If he were not a 1st round talent we're still trying to get something out of, he'd probably have been gone a while ago. We can call Jerry emotional, etc. but he knows how to suspend emotion for business sake, which is all but required to be successful. Don't be fooled. This situation is mostly business.

It's boom or bust but i'd bet on boom.

I like the talent all over our defense right now. Safety talent is a weakness but we will get solid play at worst from those guys.
