insult aside
saying he goes to the PS doesnt mean hes a scrub
he COULD BE a bubble guy and if it comes down to him and a guy that may play ST or have more upside, they could waive him in hopes that he wants to stay
good players get cut all the time
i personally think Jackson is a guy that gets work in preseason but wont beat out Rod or Olawale
yall ought to know that
Yes I understand all of that, I'm saying there is no way we keep him if he goes to the PS, someone will sign him off the practice squad at some point just like Jackson.

As for Jackson, he's never going to beat anyone out. He shouldn't have been drafted based on film but he's a got a bag of attributes that look good on paper.

I like Bo but is 405 really that much for NFL caliber athletes that weigh like 230+?

There are guys in 5A high schools that can do that. D1 is filled with them.

What I'm saying is, why is this a video? Hah.

Anyways, hope he runs like a bat out of hell in preseason.

In service, I worked out with a light weight who squatted 650 with me...

The Cowboys don't have a deep threat te on the roster once again unless Rico Gathers gets a roster spot. We need a good rotation of running backs who can score. There's only so much scoring production one player can Average. Its about time we start spreading the ball around and quit trying to win with only 2-3 players. Been saying that for years. Lol.

Bo looks like he has some really good blocking skills. He definitely has the power to run through arm tackles and has really good vision and burst. I like a big power back that is a dual threat as a runner or blocker vs the fb which is a dead position imo. Then you can pick your poison how your gonna attack your opponent and use some dual threat rb formations instead of a bunch of designated blocking tes and fb schemes littering up the field like this was the Earl Cambell Era.

Let's face it at least we got a better shot at scoring since we won't have 1/3 of our passes going to #82. We have never used our depth at every skilled position and putting the right guys out there and using (more than the top 3 guys in a pecking order) is a 10x better strategy. I'm actually excited because I think this offense will thrive with far less te involvement in the same formation for 15 years. I don't care who wins the rushing championship I just want rings. Everybody has had success running behind this oline. It's time to expand on this by rotating in more personnel instead of the same vanilla schemes on offense with the same progression system that hasn't won beans.

In a perfect world we'd have 3-4 rbs contributing but I don't know if I can trust this coaching staff to use anybody besides Zeke and a bunch of designated blockers. Same for the te position. I'm excited for all the possibilities for Bo. I think he will be a playmaker in a 2 rb set backfield whether blocking or running but will we ever do it it what I question.
Are we gonna try to build a legacy to play every snap at the te position or move forward with a rotation of guys and formations using some receivers and rbs who have more talent and upside most of the time vs using a bunch of tes with no speed or big play or scoring capabilities on 1/3 of our passes??

Will it be a rotation system or a set it and forget it progression system going forward under Jones/Garrett/Linehan.

I just don't trust these guys to change. But I'm excited and hopeful for the change and depth at rb if we use it. You can't win playoff games over targeting 3 guys and not getting more playmakers involved. IMO this is a positive step in the right direction. If there is a change. To me it's all hype untill I see it

you are probably right
i like the guy and look forward to seeing him
but when it comes down to it i know theyll cut somebody i like

maybe Bo blows up in camp, maybe he looks great in preseason, maybe he learns ST
that would be great but i believe he has to do that for them to carry 4 rb

I am sure Bo was good value in the 7th round. Howver, I would see him more as a replacement for Rod - could be wrong, but I just don't see the Cowboys carrying Rod and Bo on the 53.

Agree...Bo better hit the weight room hard the next few weeks...and build up those legs. Lucky for him...leg strength can be built up really fast.

Bo is very similar in size to Zeke, Bo is only slightly bigger 6'1" vs 6' and 228lbs vs 225lbs. Elliott is a bit faster
Brandon Jacobs was 6'4" and almost 270lbs at the combine and still ran a 4.56 40

they are not nearly the same except maybe both run too high

Brandon Jacobs
6'4-1/4"
267
4.44 forty

That's insane.

All these people who think we can keep Scarborough on the practice squad are dumb. We couldn't even keep Darius Jackson on the practice squad and he has exactly zero talent for running the ball. It's physically painful to read y'alls moronic thoughts.

We hear comments like yours every year.

People are wrong more often than not about their pet cats being too good for the practice squad.

I dunno, Alabama players just never seems to make it in the NFL (a small handful are OK)...different "rules" in college in the SEC? you know, like they can't take the same vitamins in the NFL that they likely feed those dummies from the SEC (most interviews you can't tell that they have an education)....I am hopeful for this guy, but thought it REALLY curious why no NFL teams wanted him in the first 6 rounds? this looks like a version of what Dallas normally does with 2nd round picks - take a chance and see what happens - not a bad move fo the 7th round

It's "edu-ma-cation". Get it right.

what if Rico actually takes a big step through TC and preseason (hes going to play A LOT
if they like him enough to keep him and its between Rico or Bo?
just one example of how it might be very difficult to keep 4 rb

They will probably keep :

Zeke
Austin
Olewale

I don't think they will also keep Rod Smith and one more back. Those three are probably fighting for one spot unless they keep Rod as a special teams specialist.

It's even more dumb when these same people think he goes on the practice squad because Rod Smith should be the backup RB.

Um, I wouldn't use any draft pick in any draft on a RB if I didn't think he was better than Rod Smith.

You have to have a backup RB. One of Smith or Scarbrough has to make it unless the Cowboys acquire another back who can handle the workload.

If you want to go the talented route you go Scarbrough.

If you want to match up a RB with no talent with a QB the same you go Smith. Then if Zeke gets injured you'd have the worst backfield in the NFL.
