I watched Gallup man brown thiz morning i think yestedays practice..lol..Not good for Brown, and kind of scary coz not many of the the other guys making corners look ignant..lol..

I hope he continues to progress and shows early. WE are going to need a receiver that flies under the radar, and wont get the best corner on the opposing teams defense..

Dez was more of a distraction and hinderance. He always wanted the ball but couldn't get open and when he caught it he fumbled.

Too many times Dez lost us games. Im actually glad his gone because he stunted this teams offense and hurt Dak's abilities to make plays with other players.
Exactly. Now Dak will be able to develop a repor with a bunch of guys who all equally wanna prove themselves, but none bigger than themselves.

Our WR corps is going to do fine, despite what the naysayers say. There IS life after Dez.
Gallup is going to make people forget about Dez! The only other WR we lost was Butler, and Butler is definitely replaceable.
I also think we have sufficient talent at TE.......Keep an eye on Shultz! ;)

I did a cartweel (well sort of) when we picked him. I'm a CSU grad/homer but it was known in the CSU homerism that Dallas liked him before the draft. Was invited to a valuable pre-draft private workout by Dallas. They liked what they saw and put a 2nd round grade on him. Steal in the 3rd, could be special.

Hurns is given a vet day off so the rookie Gallup makes the most of being given an opportunity to practice with the first team as if he is THE MAN. Good job rookie!

Gallop faced the most press man to man coverage in college of any drafted reciver...that fact along with his excellent hands and route running make him a perfect fit and pro ready....he may not have the ceiling of a couple of the guys drafted ahead of him but be will 1 of the first to make a big impact

His quick development would be huge for this WRs corps, because, frankly, I think we lack playmakers in the passing game other than screens to Elliott.

Watch Garrett not start Gallup. Instead hurns and twill will get most of the snaps w Beasley a
Majority of the snaps at slot.

He should get like 5 plays a game though. Hopefully more !

Micheal Irvin was 6-2 and 210, not much bigger, and also not the fastest guy on the field.

Gallup is big and fast enuf...
He looks like another Reggie Wayne. It took me a while but his size and speed remind me of a young Reggie Wayne. He runs routes sharply like Reggie Wayne I'm willing to bet if you put them in a simul-cam and watch them side by side they look alike

Rookie wide receivers seldom sparkle their first year, those that do, a la Randy Moss, are high draft picks. Irvin (admittedly not on a very good team) caught only 32 passes (two a game) and 654 yards in 14 games his first year.

To expect a 3rd rounder rookie on a team with veteran no. 2 and lot receivers, as well as a seasoned vet free agent to be a starter his first year is not realistic...

No disagreement here. Just trolling for some reaction.

We are going to be fine at receiver. Dez sucked and still doesn't have a job, incidentally. Witten was washed up and should have retired several years ago.

We tried to sign Watkins, but Hurns was a really good consolation prize. He is a damn good possession receiver. He will be a much better player than Dez.

Beasley is back to his old self. In mid season form already.

Gallup is a great value pick. Very good production in college and carried his team.

Thompson has speed to burn. Legit speed. So does Austin. We went from a team with NO SPEED to above average receiver speed. That's significant.

Why bring up all of this when this is about Gallup? Because one man can't get open if his receiving mates suck because in the NFL they are going to bracket you and take you out of the game.

I like what I am hearing so far. And by the way, Dez still sucks.
All cold hard facts. Gallup and the rest of the WR corps (+1 Rico) will have some fun catching gifts from Dak this year.

Gallup is practicing with a chip on his shoulder it seems. Good for him. Now prove you deserved to be drafted higher son. Cream seems to be rising to the top in the wr group.
