Thoughts on Bo Scarbrough

That'd definitely play to his strengths if that were to happen, although there are so many RBs for us to test this year that it'll make it difficult. To my thinking, he's easily worthy of being more than a 7th round pick -- I was quite surprised to see him still available when we finally drafted him.

In the event he ends up on the practice squad, I'd say he won't be there long before another team snatches him up.
Yep, too many injuries to RB's. Along with WR's, they populate the injury reports. However, every team had 6 shots at picking him and passed and if the Cowboys hadn't picked him, he might have gone undrafted.

The other thing to consider is if they do want to hide him on the PS, do not give him many reps during the preseason.

But, he may be expendable in order to keep Darius Jackson so he can make the HOF.

Trade him to Washington for a 2019 pick. Their guy has a sore knee.

4 thread pages on a 7th-round pick, in his first preseason game, vs scrubs.

Even the coaches aren’t sure what they have at this point, but some Zoners are all in the know.

:muttley::laugh::lmao::facepalm:

In defense he was one of the most hyped later round picks bc he came from Alabama

Faster than expected? He was known for his straight line speed in college and ran a 4.52 at almost 230 lbs. You watched his college game footage and didn't notice his speed? Dude hang up the amateur scouting act. It's getting embarrassing.

You just insist on being abrasive, don't you?

little known fact
Rod Smith is 6'3" 235lbs
hes bigger and more importantly runs lower than Bo Scarbrough
when people want a power back to run over defenses late? Rod is a big dude
Olawale is 6'1" 240lbs as well

Both Olewale and Jackson seem to be able to do everything Bo does and are both better at it. I'm not feeling it on Bo after the first PS game. I know it's early, but in the first game he showed very little reason to keep him around.

Bo was a luxury pick and for all we know a favor to Saban so he didn't go undrafted. 7th rounders that make any noise are few and far between so nothing really at risk here except I would have preferred another D pick and at least a STer.

But the winner in all of this is the team. Lots of competition at a valuable spot on a run first team. They'll get the best these guys have to give.

zeke 6ft 228 and faster than all of them, he is the guy but its nice to have some similarity to back him up when needed.. Bo looked ok its one preseason game with many more to come.it was confusing when the cowboys brought back Williams and Jackson..i guess comps are good but we could have already been set at that postion.. too many takes away practice and preseason snaps for the others IMO

The thing with him and Smith is that they are both slow.

Don't worry about fast or slow, worry about if they are effective. Smith isn't blazing but has taken a short catch 74 yards and has shown he can run. Bo had some nice runs too if that continues he could be a good asset to have

I thought he looked good for his first game, will know more after rest of ps games.
Thing is elliot will get 95% of all touches in reg season, no matter how good any of the other RB are.

If you are talking about the Giants reception, there was a little bit of a bad angle taken in pursuit. Trust me, Rod Smith is not running away from many guys in the open field. His speed is acceptable at best.

I was agreeing he wasn't that fast but he still showed the ability to go long in a meaningful game. Blame whomever, he still did it. And that isn't the only play he makes, he moves the ball with a physical run style and can catch. Don't discount him just cause he ain't the fastest guy.
