Dak Prescott wasn't the problem against the Houston Texans

And I would buy this if the tape was backing this up. But as has been shown, Prescott has been missing WRs, making poor decisions, been much more inaccurate.

He's just not the answer at QB, unfortunately.

Show me a good to great QB who does not miss throws.

Get a true #1 WR who is big and fast. Likewise, corner will either have to give space to prevent long ball or try to jam and get burnt deep or bring an extra defender to defend underneath and over the top... opening up offense for others.

The OL didn't have the greatest game but I think people defending Dak are going way overboard in their criticism of the OL (all year as well) to defend Dak's play.
You can't be serious the o line played terribly last night in the run game and passing game.

And yet Prescott had time to make accurate throws at times and he failed to do so.

He was not good last night as was much of the offense. But people have been lamenting the OL the entire season as a crutch for Prescott and that's simply not true.

And the run game last night? Houston was running run blitzes and stacking the line to shut Elliott down. Why? Because they simply didn't fear Prescott beating them. That's arguably the most damning thing here............ teams simply don't believe Prescott will consistently make them pay in the passing game anymore.

Prescott has been missing more throws than most of your upper echelon QBs.

It's fools gold at this point to think that just grab a Hopkins type and Prescott rises near the top of the QB rankings. He's, unfortunately, a limited QB.

Let this sink in......See Cleveland. The Browns Believe in Baker...you can see it. The 'Boys, under JG, believe in what?.....find someone else to throw under the bus.

So it's dak's fault they didn't take more play action deep shots down the field. Which is what I would have done. I mean how many designed swing passes and screens are we going to run in a game? No QB is perfect and is going to place a perfectly thrown ball every time especially when under immense pressure. His wr group gives him no help. 2 ints off balls that the wrs should have made a play on. Still better than Romo's ints from bad decision making. I would change scheme by getting a new staff and get wr help before moving on from Dak.

Oh my word.....Dak is THE problem. Give me a break.

You can run about 10% of the playbook with him. He's so limiting to everyone around him.

A Hopkins type WR will make Dak, Zeke, the OL, and remaining WRs a lot better...

The Cowboys need a 3 headed monster on offense.

A #1 WR would have helped the Cowboys last night feast on the Texans secondary and made them pay for the blitz.

If he doesn't perform better? Did you watch tonight's game? Dak kept this Offense alive and gave them a chance. Everyone else failed badly. No one else on offense stepped up.
You know i will agree that Dak wasn't the entire problem tonight (he was still part of it) but listening to you always putting the blame on the rest of the team and none of it on Dak is ridiculous. According to you the guy who touches the ball on every single offensive snap in the game never has any responsibility for how that offense performs

He absolutely should and WILL shoulder some of the blame but his blame should be less than the HC, OC, O line, and wr group.

See you are trying to make this an either/or type argument.

The offensive problems stem from many areas............ the QB included.

He throws with no anticipation. That's the biggest problem right next to accuracy.

That is why you need a #1 WR... you can throw it with anticipation and confidence because the WR will win most of the battles.

There is no corner in the NFL like a prime Deion Sanders... who could either slow down or completely take a #1 WR like Hopkins out of the game.

Likewise, a #1 WR for the Cowboys should be able to have a feast like Zeke.

Sorry AC he was a big part of the problem. I've been wanting Dak to succeed so the Cowboys succeed. The pass to Austin was high, Swaim bailed him out with a shoestring catch. His ball placement is all over the place, slow to process reads and doesn't know NFL open.. Even on the TD he should have thrown the ball sooner "no anticipation". I was hoping it would work out but Dallas will be looking for a QB1 next year or they should at least.

Better? Sure.

Good enough? Not likely.

You overrate how good Prescott is.

Yes but Dak was better than our HC, OC, o line, and wrs against the texans.

The scramble out of the Watt sack and throw down the sideline to Austin might be the play of the year. It was an incredible play.

it’s all on Dak. All of it. Put a good QB on this team and it’s a legit contender.

If you want to claim last night as win for Prescott relative to the OL, WRs and coach, go ahead. That's like arguing that gerbil poop isn't as bad as horse poop.

I am taking the longer view here. Prescott, game to game, shows that he's a limited QB and, unfortunately, not likely the upper echelon QB we thought we had and frankly need to have.
