I hope this is the case, saying what needs to be said so the team keeps competing.

He did the same with Wade before ultimately firing him. Expect the Garrett vote of confidence to come next, with ultimately the same results.

If we’re going to stick with Dak I’m fine with firing Garrett. He’s not going to have much success with Dak anyway.

Maybe bring in a college coach who can implement run and shoot or something.

My support of Garrett was always in hope he’d finally be in position to draft the next great HOF championship caliber QB.

Oh please, now it's more of the same thing with yet another player being used as a scapegoat for Garrett sucking at his job. Garrett would ruin every quarterback he ever got, like he has.

Dak's issues don't excuse Garrett of his own.

The clock is ticking on your boy. I hope you can handle it.

Look at how easy T.O. a true #1 WR made things for Romo during his first 3 years as a starter and how open T.O. was..

we offered Sammy Watkins 16 million. more than dez. but Sammy mulled it over. reid or garrett. mahomes or dak. Sammy ain't no fool.
I am glad Sammy Watkins turned it down because he is not worth that much. Maybe $8M a year.

As I have said in the another thread.

If this team is going to keep Dak as it's QB.
They need to get rid of Linehan and Garrett this season or off season. Those two and Dak are not the right fit.

You need to get a OC who is going to basically set up an offense that is for a bus driver QB that throws check down throws and who can run the ball.
You better get WRs who are WRs that can get plenty of YAC because they will rarely get deep throws.
And you better get a copy cat of a back up QB so when the starter runs on a regular basis we have a back up ready to do the same if the starter gets hurt or needs a rest.

If you are going to keep Linehan and or Garrett...find a different QB.

I have also stated in the other thread that I can only hope that Stephen sees the problem and will talk Daddy Johnny Walker into changing his stance like he did with TO and Dez.

Actually one of the beauties of moving on to another QB (if it comes from the draft)...is that you move on from the potential of paying HUGE money to Dak in the next year or so. Money that can be spent paying Tank to stay and maybe getting a quality S, WR and TE while having a young QB from the draft.

I think this is an excellent assessment overall, with one disagreement. I think that Linehan and Garrett have to go regardless of whether Dak stays or goes. They've never shown themselves to be good with any quarterback not named Romo, not even competent without him.

And every quarterback they touch gets worse as a result.

Dak's issues aside, and whether he himself stays or goes, it's time to stop investing and wasting any more time in Garrett / Linehan.

This is bs. If that was the case we wouldn't have that 2016 year that have so many of y'all giddy. Can't switch up things when it's beneficial to your argument. You can of course but it looks bad when we have facts that show what your posting is incorrect.
2016 may as well be a lifetime ago.

2016 is no longer relevant to the issues going on today.

Like anything else this gabby old fool says, we really don't know what they think behind closed doors. He's playing the supportive role until he doesn't and he has his coaching staff and QB under fire. His usual stance under fire is to fire back.

The challenge is this QB class is not near as deep as this past one and after Herbert, there's quite a fall off. And if the Giants continue down their path, and there's no reason to think they will not, they're going for QB this time around.

Until they actually give him a 2nd contract, I am not buying anything they say. I am wondering if they play the "we didn't give him any help" card they played for Romo when they started to build the OL?

I'm not the guy that needs to. I know the answer. You go ahead and be the guy banging your head against the wall still trying to figure it out.
:banghead:
You're definitely the one that needs to or else you wouldn't ask me stupid questions that aren't even on the same continent as what I said. Im not banging my head at all it's been figured out. I would like for you to figure it out though.

The good thing is the Giants offense actually looked alive last week unlike ours. But it won't matter. I doubt we draft a QB.
