More important for Jerry to showcase Cooper than win?

Its like Witten said no room for error . If we don't capitalize on every opportunity and get a decent lead that makes our opponent take chances and make mistakes we are done .

Teams make adjustments we don't and slowly we are unable to do what was working and lose the game

I think our only hope is if Jerry promotes Garrett to some assistant FO job and gets a new coach firing him means Jerry has to admit a long term mistake and I don't know if his ego will stand for that
Ugh, so true.

Got to believe Jerry wanted to prove to the world on MNF that the Cooper trade was genius on his part or why else are we throwing into double coverage on the goal line . That play was the beginning of the end of that game . Swung all the momentum IMO

Would love to know whose call that was and why Dak didn't over ride it That was a horrible play call and execution by Dak . Dak used to be very careful with the ball and I really liked that now its a couple TOs a game and these were very much his fault

Cooper wasn't the only option on that play. There were 2 receivers split right

Plus Smith in the backfield

Smith chipped and released to the goal line, turned around and was basically wide open

Dak panicked and made a garbage decision

They weren't trying to force it to Cooper

It was actually a very well designed play. The minute Prescott saw them double Cooper he should have known that Smith was going to be open releasing underneath

Just an absolutely idiotic decision by the quarterback. Nothing more and nothing less

Because Dak is an idiot. That's why. Has zero to do with Jerry & him wanting to showcase his new talent. There was zero reason for Dak to throw that pass & he did it anyway. That's ALL on HIM.

Dak forced the throw. 100% on Dak for the poor execution. We do not know what play was called so no idea if the Linehan called a bad play.

Totally agree guys Dak should have found the open man or ran himself but would not put it past Jerry to phone down to try and get Cooper another TD . That's how Jerrys brain works he is already at the post game interview expounding on that's why the traded a #1 for Cooper

Read the last line I said the turnovers were very much Daks fault but Jerry may have pressured to get Cooper another TD as it would help justify the use of a #1 pick and make it appear that he got good value in the trade .

I'm sure there were other receivers out on routes. Dak got smoked on that play. Cooper was the best Cowboys player on the field last night.
