Try to give someone props for a solid game and a big W and he ends up getting bashed on this board:facepalm:...LOL

Stunning isn't it?

What slays me is the folks that complain, "The pass ONLY went so far and the receiver did the rest."

My gosh, WCO QB's like Ken Anderson, Joe Montana and Steve Young became highly rated passers by throwing 10 yard passes that guys like Issac Curtis, Jerry Rice, John Taylor and Terrell Owens took a long way. Yet no one calls them lousy QB's.

Dak does it and he's not a capable QB.

Some Cowboys fans live in a world of confirmation bias... No matter what Dak Prescott does on the field they will "bend" the reality to confirm their already well-planted bias of him not being the right QB of the Dallas Cowboys.

This was in September, so this idea Dak throws downfield and is just being held back by coaches is absurd. And this is percentage wise and Dak hardly even throws relative to other QBs, while seeing 8 men in the box.

where exactly is any evidence Romo was attacking that part of the field?
you have provided exactly ZERO.

So it’s not about Cooper than, but play-calling? Your claiming it’s Cooper, so explain why he’s only caught one on five games and Dak didn’t attack that part of he field at all?

Which is it? Is it Linehan fault or Dak not having a guy like Cooper?

When you could jam WRs at the line and be physical with them. Plus these guys actually threw deep.. The West Coast didn’t mean the QBs didn’t attack deep, it meant the passing game attacks primarily horizontally. Montana had one of the greatest touches in the game.

Baby steps. First get yourself to find the one everyone else in America saw but you deny. The one that actually happened. The one you didn't see.

I didn’t deny the one that happened.. By never in typical idiomatic usage, it doesn’t mean it never happened even once. That’s like me saying that “Dak never throws deep” it means that he never completed a deep ball.

So you have “a specific play” that you didn’t even reference specifically, is supposedly proof that Dak is a progression QB though Witten said flat out live, as a commentator, he wasn’t that type of QB?

Prescott does throw deep... Some would like to see a higher percentage of deep passes.

I shrug my shoulders at that because the current pass distribution percentage probably isn't going to change. Dak Prescott is risk adverse, the play calling by OC seems risk adverse. Certainly Garrett's coaching style is risk adverse.

So one can keep saying "Dak doesn't throw (enough) deep passes" and it's simply words in the wind because it's not going to change.

How does Troy Aikman measure accurate? Clearly accuracy is measured by completion percentage as well as difficult of throws, thus the word “checkdown Charlie”. Weeden threw for over 70% here.. is he a highly accurate QB? Eli Manning’s numbers in his last five games is better than Dak’s and he’s got a garbage OL. Is he highly accurate QB?

Yes, 70% completion is a measurement of accuracy, regardless of whether you like the QB or not.

Not to mention on the 90 yard TD, Dak stood tall in the pocket (many say he doesn't) and threw a dart (many say he doesn't) into coverage (many say he doesn't).

I've had my frustrations with Dak, including the miss to a wide open Noah Brown for a TD, but Dak is getting his swagger back and, for the most part, is improving.

There are, however, some true Dak haters that will never, ever give him credit for anything positive.

Those posters currently reside in my ignore list and I've found it so much easier to read the board because of it.

On a side note from all of this none sense, Zeke is a strong mofo picking up a 250 lb Dak and putting him in the kettle. Okay, back to your regularly scheduled whine session.

Then you saw the play?

So Weeden is as accurate as Dak and maybe we should start him, because at least he can throw deep.

Every morning show comparing our current 3 skill players to The Triplets. Every person, with the exception of Skip Bayless says the Zeke and Cooper can be compared to the triplets but Dak is too mediocre to be compared to Aikman and some said even to Romo

But what do they know. Most of them are ex nfl players and clearly don’t know how to evaluate players. Thank God, our forum members do though as they boast of Dakotas excellence

Aikman was a bloated bus driver in his day. Thats all he ever did. 200 yards passing and 1 TD per week. He handed the ball off to Emmitt and was accurate on his slants and outs to Irvin and Novacek.

If this line continues to play well Dak will continue to play well. Its all about the Oline with this offense.

If you can manage to be realistic and compare at least close to the same number of games you would make such a stupid statement.

I might disagree with this. I think he holds the ball too long because he fears throwing a pick. The clock in his head doesn't tell him he is holding it too long. He waits for the receiver to get open. That comment by Michael Vick that he needs to trust what he sees is significant.

But one issue about the clean pocket is he needs to throw from the perfect platform. Unlike Romo he has to step into the ball with a perfect base or he whiffs.

You saw that in his throw to Beasley yesterday in the fourth. He one hopped it because he was not set.

On most occassions he is holding the ball because people are covered. For every time he stays in the pocket and gets a sack, he breaks away and frees himself 3 times that many that would have been sacks.

The play Prescott was viewed in slow motion going through his progressions. That one.

Which play was it that exemplifies he’s a progression QB per the commentators when Witten as a commentator said he wasn’t that type of QB?

You need to pay attention better, it's actually already been talked about. It's ok if you missed it, it happened regardless.
I invite you to watch the game with your eyes open.

You mean talked-about by the commentator named Witten saying Dak isn’t a progression type QB? The guy that actually played with him?

Oh yeah, I forgot.. you meant “a specific play” in “this game” that you “can’t reference”, but even it it exists points to a single play where Dak did it, per a commentator?
