You mean like Witten saying Dak isn’t a progression type QB? The guy that actually played with him?
Do you have an example or are you just going to keep talking out of your backside? Seriously, bring something of your own.
Being that I've seen a number of plays where Prescott had enough time to look off DBs and go through his progression, I wonder what you are watching. You realize that all QBs don't always go through progressions, right? There are a number of factors.
And example at all?

Prescott does throw deep... Some would like to see a higher percentage of deep passes.

I shrug my shoulders at that because the current pass distribution percentage probably isn't going to change. Dak Prescott is risk adverse, the play calling by OC seems risk adverse. Certainly Garrett's coaching style is risk adverse.

So one can keep saying "Dak doesn't throw (enough) deep passes" and it's simply words in the wind because it's not going to change.

I agree it’s not going to change, so this idea that he can throw deep consistently needs to stop and all the talk about him in the off-season working on the deep Bal and his accuracy should he acknowledged that it is a real weakness of his and even guys like Linehan admit it and said he needs to work on, though it’s clearly not going to be a staple in this offense like it was with Romo..

So in life, what things do you not get better at by doing? At your current profession, would you have been better shadowing someone on the job for three years before doing anything?

Clueless comparison. They aren't digging ditches, its more the Medical Profession where Med School graduates have to do a 3 - 5 Residency before they can be certified as Doctors. Would you let someone one week out of a Medical School in Estonia operate on you?

I don't disagree with any of that.

So my example of a Witten the commentator saying it isn’t a valid example, but your example of a nameless commentator is? The fact he is approaching 50 sacks and stats from Sturm and the passing carts I provided aren’t valid, but your one example in this last game is?

Football doesn’t require a “residency”, you can play right away, clueless... but what should I expect from someone so ignorant of NFL history that they thought Rodgers sat on the bench for three seasons because he wasn’t any good.

Nothing I say will make you think any different. Keep holding on to the notion Prescott never goes through his progressions.
I don't know what else to tell you.

Competely idiotic. Name all the NFL QBs who did it sucessfully as rookies. And while you are at it, find one person in the NFL that thinks Tony Romo could have started as a rookie out of Eastern Illinois. Please go ask, they will call you an idiot too.

Note when the Commanders were sacking Dak in the first half how he suddenly started throwing bad passes? This goes back to what I think is his problem. He needs a clean pocket.

But one of the big factors is that Dallas had crappy field position all day and Linehan was calling some stupid plays during the second quarter. My opinion.

Story was he was told to get the ball out sooner. He will need snaps to get used to that and Garrett and Linehan need to change up the plays better.

I do agree on the OL comment. Funny how Buck and Troy kept mentioning the Commanders OL injuries but didn't harp on the 3 we were missing.
It's really 2 guys, Fredrick and Smith.

I remember posters on this board who saw Romo in gametime warmups his first two seasons saying that he had a noodle arm.

Broaddus was on 105.3 the Fan recently and mentioned that Romo was horribly inaccurate his first two seasons when they (qb coach Lee) was working with him on his footwork. And that it wasn't until year 3 that Romo started looking like the qb we all saw.

“Successfully” isn’t the point. The point is playing real games and increasing your skill vs sitting and doing nothing. The Packers went 6-10 in Rodgers first season, even though he played well, so it’s not like the three seasons on the bench made them any more “successful”. By your absurd logic, Colt McCoy hadn’t played in nearly four years but since he was the backup he should have soaked up so much “film study” that he should have been passing the ball using only his thoughts, like he was Jean Grey.

True.

I think having Cooper here will help improve this area simply because he seems to be better at getting open faster/quicker than most of the other WR's.

You have absolutely no clue what you are even arguing any more. The point is that its apples to oranges to compare stats of a QB thrown into starting as a rookie and one that had development time beforehand. But you are bright enough to comprehend that.

So go away, I was going to put you on Ignore before and don't remember why I didn't. Now I do.

Some of the Dak haters will never, ever, ever get over the fact that Romo is gone.

Had it not been Dak, they would've hated whichever QB took his place.

It's going to make it so much sweeter to see their tears if Dak were to actually win the Super Bowl.

You don’t have a point. You’re just another troll. And my point stands: Dak has an advantage over QBs who sit and do nothing, it’s not the obstacle that you pretend it to be. You live in a weird fantasy land where backup QBs are sent off to QB academy where they are trained by Hall of Famers around the clock and film study in their dorms during down time. In reality they are ignored, the starting QB is usually hostile, all of the reps and attention goes to the starter and the coaches are focusing every bit of energy on next week’s opponent. You can crawl back under your rock now.

You know that's lottery chances yourself hence putting if not when he wins a Super Bowl. He isn't that good but he is the current avg QB.

We're missing our starting LG too. The fact that we have a good backup doesn't change that fact. Don't penalize us for having depth.
