I snapped the bottom off the fibula, and snapped the tibia, dislocated the ankle... blah blah...

So he is in for some pain for awhile, and some work... But having an infection in that type of injury could be really bad...

Hope he does ok...

Still have my x-rays... Always fun when it is raining, or cold, and there is arthritis in it these days...
Being an athlete like that though, he can come back from it. As long as they get rid of that infection.

Hope he gets well and back playing. I have always liked him and don’t wish this on any player. I think I read that if he can’t return, the Skins are on the hook for 71 million. Don’t know how that effects the cap for them next year or beyond.

Hate to see any player suffer something like this. Hope he recovers.

Best wishes to him, just one of many things you can take for granted when dealing with surgery. I had the same breaks at 13 and never once considered the possibility of infection or risks during surgery.

I hope he recovers and returns to football.

IV antibiotics are administered before and after surgery to prevent infection, but it can still happen. Speaking from experience.

at age 34 given this injury I think he will call it quits. I hope the best for him, he is a solid guy.

I feel sorry for Alex and encountered similar problems in local hospitals. The last situation ended up being pretty serious, and I feel fortunate to have recovered from it. Hospitals have become really bad places to try and get well.
