Chemistry Issue With Gallup

I try not to throw myself in the QB debate fire but here we go.

I guess I would qualify as a Dak apologist to some people here. I like the guy and I feel like he has some tools to develop but I try to be fair. I was yelling at my television and ready to blame him for loss tonight on multiple occasions but...

The Gallup issues aren’t all on him. The fact that he is connecting with Cooper on these same throws tells me that he has the ability. Him and Gallup should be practicing tirelessly to get this timing and chemistry down so they can routinely take advantage of these opportunities. Dak/Cooper are on the same page after just a few weeks of practice with no training camp.

After all, these are not high percentage throws regardless of what some fans think. We were 1/3 last week, 0/3 today. If we capitalized on 1-2 more of these opportunities these last two weeks may have been a bit less stressful.

Edit: This is not a slight on Gallup..just an observation that the deep passes seem to be a chemistry issue more than an ability issue.

He is a freaking rookie receiver that has been starting for half the season. What do you expect? Where do you guys come up with these questions?

Gallup is doing his job.

If Dak can’t hit a receiver that is 5 yards by the defender then that’s on him.

Blaming chemistry and all of this other stuff is really overthinking it.

He’s wide open. Throw him the ball. You’re a professional at throwing a ball so hit a guy that open with the football.

Gallup pulling up instead of running his route because he got a slight dump by DB is inexcusable. Finish the freaking route. Thats two weeks in a row Gallup has done that and cost the team points both times.

Gallup took blame for both.

Gallup has messed up 1 time on that route all year.

Dak has missed Gallup deep countless times.

Last week when?

And what about Gallup in loads of space today when Dak threw it over his head and got picked.

Dak is an inaccurate QB. Just accept it.

Last week when we played the Saints.

We're talking about the deep ball down the sidelines, the INT wasnt that. Unless you want to change the topic?

Dak is actually more accurate than the average QB starter according to nextgenstats. So wrong again

Gallup was wide open a couple of times that Dak didn't even look his way. You could argue that Gallup could have easily had three or four TDs.

I really like Gallup as the number 2. He's getting open, just wish Dak could put a little more air on the ball so he can track it. Talent wise he's right there with Moore, Ridley, Kirk, and Sutton.

No doubt he will push Hurns or Williams off the roster next year. Maybe even both, when looking at their contracts counting 11million against the cap. If they choose to resign Beasley, don't know how they would keep those guys anyway.

There should be more chemistry with Gallup
They had a training camp together
Cooper has been here what 7 weeks
It’s not about chemistry
It’s just that Dak is avg on deep throws which means you hit about one out of four on avg

Gallup would be in the conversation with Saquon Barkley if Dak could hit him.

It’s been an issue all season long and Gallup is winning his battles and needs the football.

If by chemistry you mean a QB that can’t put it in the same zip code as his reciever, then yes, I agree, we have a “chemistry” issue.

No he wouldn't. Stop it. I get it....Dak sucks....but Gallup isn't having the same impact as Barkley. Cut it out. Barkley means too much to that offense.

I know fans have to hate Bob because he comes around to make you feel like a idiot when he brings up facts like he does lol.

He can spit all the stupid facts he wants. That game was close today because we were getting awful QB play for 3 quarters.

That game shouldn’t have been close.

I said he would be in the conversation and I’m not wrong.

He would have monster numbers for a rookie.

DAk just can’t throw a deep ball
I know that dak has trouble with the deep ball but gallop needs to get better release at the start of plays to get himself open better and in better position to catch some of those deep passes. cooper does a great job at the start of his route and that is why he been able to catch a lot of those deep passes.
