He's grossly underpaid right now. He is not Aaron Rodgers, he doesn't and shouldn't get THAT kind of money but he deserves a raise none-the-less. He's far outplayed his 4th round contract. Anyone (even the most biased) that don't think that are dopes.

I'm not opposed to paying Dak big money. But not next year. I say we franchie tag him, get rid of Moore and get a Quarterback coach (who can actually coach) and take up this issue next year. If Dak doen't improve next year, it's adios...

Your thoughts?

My thought is that you are a troll.

an early renegotiation can help with future cap needs. if he keeps winning, try and get it done during the off season.

Can’t franchise him next year
He’s under contract

This game didn't make any difference one way or the other for me. I'm still letting him play out next year (hopefully with an improved OL over this year) before I do anything.

He's not a franchise QB, more of a bus driver, he's too inconsistent and doesn't protect the football..
Even if he is a bus driver I’m still waiting on better options
I think he’s a 10-12 mil QB but the markets says differently
I don’t think he’s ever going to be an elite QB but he’s more than a bus driver
The problem is average QB gets paid big money and Dak is to me an avg QB
But I don’t see any option to upgrade so paying Dak, probably too much, is probably a sure thing because I still don’t see any alternative

I would too
But in the end I suspect he’s getting a new deal

That's more my attitude.

If they really want to extend him, maybe a two year contract for one year's worth of franchise tag money.

Dak locks in some money, Jerry locks in Dak showing up for work next year. Win-win. Without a big chunk of cash up front, Dak should hold out. His puny salary isn't worth risking the big cash he'll get in his next contract.

Only an Eagle troll could want this....Give Dak a huge contract. That would be worse than giving Garrett an extension.

Zeke, Cooper, and DLaw better get contracts/extensions before Dak is even considered.

I personally would look to upgrade the QB position unless we go deep in the playoffs

Even if we get into the playoffs, he still holds on to the ball too long. He can't consistently throw deep and hit his targets. Before someone twists my words, I'll clarify... I'm not saying Dak should throw deep every time. I'm saying his accuracy needs to vastly improve consistently when he does throw deep.. Tonight was an anomaly.

I meant when his contract is up to franchise tag him.. My point is there is word out there that Jerry wants to pay Dak big money. I think it's crazy to even think that right now.. He needs to get better...
