What the heck happened at the end of that long punt return? He looked he was going all the way and then made a weird move. I thought he hurt his groin again or something.

And I think Beasley took the next punt return.

On the return that was called back, you could see he was running with a hitch.

Still had a great game for us on returns, though. I hope he's healthy for the next game. Especially with Hurns out and Beasley banged up.

I think its time the Cowboys take the jet sweep out of the playbook. Nice to see a threat in the return game, Its a shame that TD was called back!

Didn't Troy even say on that play, that it was obvious that is why Tavon goes in motion, it will be a jet sweep.
Heck, I even seen it was not going to work before they ran it.

He’s obviously not 100%

Yep. But with Beasley's high ankle sprain, if he plays I imagine his snaps will be limited to obvious passing situations. Maybe 15-20 snaps. We're gonna need Austin and Noah Brown to step up next week.

But yeah Austin makes a huuuuge difference on punt returns. If he can make that 1st guy miss, he's gone.

I was sitting in bar with 20 people calling it! LOL
It's time to find a new trick play.

He's our x-factor going forward. Dude's electric on punt returns. Looking what he can contribute in the slot with a hobbled Beasley and hurns out.

we will be the underdogs..and I LOVE THAT. We play better as a dog. Its who we are. The days of the frontrunning may be over, and that's ok by me. Dak embraces it all.

I think he just got "ahead of himself" on that great return. He started looking behind him as he was running. By the time he got his head swiveled around to looking forward, I think his legs were on a different page and it messed him up. lol Too bad too because he could have made it to the house.

It was kind of funny because in the game-day thread I asked when the last time we had a punt return was. Almost had 2 last night. Next game I will ask when the last time we had a pick 6 was.

He looked like Devin Hester.

The way he ran laterally for a second or two, then decisively cut up field looked just like prime Hester.

Been a while since we've had a competent return man.

He has to stay healthy before we start talking signing him long term. He nearly instantly made an impact. His speed is much needed.

But we need to stop with bringing our WRs in motion into the play or jet sweeps.

Yeah, I saw the same thing. The only thing I can think of he thought the guy was closing in on him quicker than he really was so he sorta flinched/braced himself for the impact that never happened.

Not sure why Beasly was still in there returning punts. Tavon should handle every one of those plus Ko returns. He just that good.

Safe, secure, reliable hands.

Anytime punt is inside the 20, Beasley’s job is to just catch the ball and hopefully not get pinned deep/fumble

Maybe the wr by committee idea was not so bad after all. It saved our butt depth wise after Hurns. Tavon brings a lot to the table. Especially on punt returns. Hopefully they take advantage of his speed. With Beasley and Cooper we could have some legit weapons for other teams to worry about.
