Good for him on the dislocation I think. A spiral fracture would have been career ending.

Did Gordon Hayward have an ankle dislocation? His recovery was very long!

when I had my dislocation of the left elbow in HS on the FB field, the pain is totally like a blow torch on the skin...unrelenting. Then adrenaline kicks in and all you want is something for the pain ...your in survival mode. Anywho...when these things happen, yu tend to have tendon damage, nerve, muscle damage. Those things are what takes the longest to get back to normal. The bone usually fractures...or "chips" when you get a dislocation like Hurns had...and mine.I hade the elbow actually thru the skin..not a compound fracture, but just as brutal. Lastly, speaking from experience, Hurns is in for a bevvy of rehab and issues..but unlike myself,he is a worldclass athlete and has technology available to him that I did not in 1986. I am aging myself lol. Praying for Allen...I hear he is loved greatly by his team.

not sure...But any of these kinds of dislocations are a beast of their own.ALL DIFFERENT. Some never come back at full strength. They are unpredictable as heck. Im only speaking from my own experience. I lived it. It was a bloody nightmare.

That was just a dislocation! Good news for him they didn’t show replays at the game but we saw it on JJs big TVs... looked nasty
^ This. I was certain it was a fracture at the time. Glad I was wrong.

If you guys saw Hurns' ankle pointing the wrong direction..well, that's exactly what my left elbow did. Its a helpless feeling. My heart was in my throat when I saw that play happen in real time. Hurns' reaction is EXACTLY how I reacted with mine. Poor man.

Gordan Hayward had ankle dislocation and fractured tibia.

Back within a year but not the same yet.

Great news! That looked a lot worse than what it actually was apparently. Because I thought his foot fell off.
I think a dislocation if its bad enough can look as bad as a break

the rehab is going to be tougher than the injury. Long and grueling. He could be out til midseason.

I did not see us bringing Hurns back.

Now we will or it would be a huge injury settlement right?

Do injury settlements go against the cap?

If he can recover I want him to come back and play the slot when we let Beasley go.

Wasn't a dirty tackle on Hurns...but it sure wasn't clean either.

Semi-horse collared him. I just watched it.

It was pretty dirty, like you can almost see some bad intent there.

Heath got the payback hit on that return, though.

Hurns is a good player, and a really really cool person.

Sucks that happened to him.

I was in the whirl pool rehabbing my arm for 5 months..2 months after that, trying to get the nerves to refire and get my strength back. Took 2 years at that time before the nerves started coming back. Lets hope with tech being what it is today and the doctors,he can make a speedy recovery.
