Romo arguably the best QB to ever put on a cowboys uniform, when it comes to individual player/position performance. NOT team accomplishments. So yeah you are jabbing at a great player...for your individual infatuation for Dak.
the greatest qb to ever put on a cowboys uniform was roger Staubach period

In 2014 if we had this defense?

Yes.

Do I think we can win it?

I hope so..

Still got 3 really tough games to go.

If our OL had all its pieces in place, we would the favorites.

Thanks

Then we agree, Romo with a good team, especially this defense would be "good enough to win the big one"

Anyway, pulling for Dak to go win it this year.

Unfortunately for Romo..

his salary cap hit hurt this team from affording a defense when he was here.

He was working against himself the whole time.
That circumstance is neither Romo's nor any other quarterback, running back, offensive tackle, defensive end, etc., fault. If anything, the narrative should always be that a front office should evaluate their own salary cap situation and not 'hurt' themselves.

He had Demcarco Murray. He had good defenses. Quit this scapegoat narrative.

Well, I can say over Romo's years here he's had some defenses that were ok. But just ok. Many, many times he would score to take a lead and the defense would let someone go right down the field. Even their better defenses were a bend and break type. I've never seen a Cowboys defense as resilient as this one. How many games this year has the defense actually won the game? Saints and Tampa come to mind. The great thing about this team is Dak is not making the mistakes he was making earlier in the year. They are playing as a team, a complete team.

And at the perfect time.

Seriously i cant bear this Romo never was surrounded by a good team.

This guy was thrown to death with talent around him. WRs, RBs, TE, great OL players, good defenses. Come on.
That in his last years we couldnt afford to hand out big FA contracts was because he played hard ball with us to get a big contract.

Objectively they’re not. The team is the the fourth seed. Even though Philly is the lower seed they are defending champs so they’ve been there and done it already. That’s about as objective an assessment as you can give.

Thats a joke right ?!

Romo played hardball with us. He didnt care at all, just wanted a big contract. He knew we positioned ourselfs into a corner and he was willing to make the most of it.
Look at Bradys contract for instance.

It always needs 2 to tango. Romo got what he wished for. A big contract and us into cap hell.

:lmao: you couldn't be more wrong. Romo compared to the other great QBs in the league at the time he played almost always had one of the weakest supporting casts, and just about always had the weakest coach. His contract was also a pretty good bargain, the problem was the inept front office kept kicking the can down the road so his relatively cheap deal ended up costing a large amount of cap space at the end.

I liked Romo but he was never leading this team to a Super Bowl. He never seemed to have the it factor.

I believe he developed it late in his career however, the pieces were never all there after he had matured - then when he had, his body began to break ... regularly.

...

I will simply answer by stating there is a large educational and comprehensive deficit for contract economics by fans throughout professional sports. To be honest though, I am not certain how American fans rank in this topic among their counterparts around the world.

2007 season, Dallas entered the playoff brackets as the #1 seed in the NFC and lost to NY. If you enter post season as a #1 seed you are a contender
Romo was referring to this year's Cowboys. Not previous Cowboys.

In my opinion that would be a great SB Dallas Cowboys vs the Former Dallas Texans who would become the Kansas City Chiefs

...I tell you what. Jealousy and Envy go along way with humans. Even someone like Romo, could be wishing they don't get there. WHy??

Because, Dak will make him look like a chump. 25 yr old super bowl champion. Life is not fair and it could happen.

No, Romo is simply being an unbiased and objective announcer. Like he's supposed to.
