Lots of good points so far in this thread.

I’ll try to rank my thoughts from most important to least-

1) Dak needs to have a very good game. LA has a weak run D, everyone knows it at this point. Zeke will get his, but we know LA will be determined to limit him. Not saying they’ll be successful, but if Dak is hot (in addition to Zeke) we’ll definitely win.

2) Hot Boyz need to be HOT. If we can pressure Goff without blitzing, their offense will struggle. I fully trust Van Jaylon to do their part.

3) Please let our D force a turnover or two.

4) The lucky “bounce” to put us over the top- whether it’s a big penalty that goes our way, or some fluky tipped ball that benefits us, or some special teams play that has a major impact....it would really be nice to see.

I agree, but have to add that the Boys must score a lot of points too. Garrett's game plan of just controlling the clock and pounding the football with limited points scored is not going to work in this game against the Rams. McVay is complete aggression on every play to score for 60 minutes. These two HCs are complete opposites.

If it's a shootout and high scoring game, I think we're fooked lol

It really does come down to Garrett vs McVay. : )

When the Chiefs played the Rams in the Game of the Year earlier, Andy Reid used Hill as a WR. Actually, he used all his WRs, TEs & RBs as scoring weapons. If Garrett is actually smart, he will do the same. Our D is better than the Chiefs D, especially in the pass D. We have to plot to put all 3 phases of the game to score as many points as possible to win this game because the Rams O can score in a second flat and could not care less about clock control management.

And the run game in this particular game went completely out the window.

Oy......

I've posted this before and will probably post it again before the game, but here is the key to winning:

- My gf has watched the game with me for every Cowboys win this season, and every game she's missed, we've lost.
- She tried to 'prove' she wasn't lucky by missing the Indy game. We all know what happened that day.
- She's taken a blood oath to be here for the game tonight. That's going to cost me dinner and a bottle of water (at least). I'll post a link to my ******** page so that you guys can show your appreciation (haha)
- She actually wore my #50 jersey and my DC baseball cap during the Jaguars drubbing. Debating whether I should allow her to do that again. I don't want to seem greedy to the all-important football gods and spirits. Thoughts?

I think they're gonna sell out to stop Zeke and put the game on Talib, Peters & Robey-Coleman to shutdown Cooper, Gallup & Beasley. That very well could work if Dak doesn't ball out today. He's the key to the game, IMO.

I'm convinced it's Zeke having a better day than Gurley due to our defense's ability to limit him and their inability to limit the running game.

Seem's these two analysts unanimously agree with my thoughts. I've seen countless shows where they overwhelmingly pick the Rams and often unanimously pick them.

Interrrupt the timing offense. By pressure and/or bump and run.
Stop Gurley.

Offense: Just play our game.

The line play is usually the key to a win. Especially with 2 running teams whose passing game plays off the run.

We need to get after Goff and make him very uncomfortable. Gallup needs big game, Talib will be all over A Cooper

Keep the Ram offense off the field for as long as possible. They have not played for 2 weeks and if they can't get on the field, they may get real cold feet.

We must control the clock with our running game.

We must convert our 3rd downs.

We must NOT play too much zone defense.

We must play a lot of cover 1 man press on defense.

Time of possession - specifically keeping the ball away from LA....but then we need some 3&outs from our defense to assist with that

LA giving up the most yards per carry in the league, right?

The Chiefs stopped Gurley and how did that turn out??
They made the Rams beat them with the pass.. and the Rams did it...barely.
The Chiefs defense is not the Cowboys defense. They had to get it done with 11 which left them susceptible to play-action (hence key #2). The Cowboys front 6/7 should be able to get it done while the secondary remains true to their assingment.
