Game Day *** Cowboys vs Rams post game thread***

Two main reasons we lost tonight:

1. Atrocious defense
2. Coaching

Everything else was in the realm of normal. Dak had some flubs, but Goff had two or three bad misses too.

Compare to the defenses played. Romo's 2014 performance was by far the best of both QBs.

Our defense **** the bed.
Jeff Heath was useless.
Byron Jones is overrated.
Play calling on offense is utterly crap.

This team is no closer to getting over the hump.

Better all around team won the game ...no surprises ... I wondered if this was going to be like 91/92 season where we beat bears but were blown out by Lions in division round ... score in this game was closer but it still looked like a blowout loss ...I do think we have allot of work this off season and our fiscal window is now starting to close .. qb due big $$$ ... rb big $$$ .. defensive end who disappears at end of seasons due big $$ ... wr big $$$ and offensive line needs some retooling regardless of Fredbeard ...
where are we at with coaching ??

Rams were the better team. Gotta give them credit. We’re still 2-3 really good players away.

We’ve been 2-3 good players away since 2006. I’m tired of waiting on “next year” to finally arrive.

Defensive coaches loss this game, one formation and they dont know how adjust, bunch with TED,
conservative def 42 with nickel, and Rams run, run and run again and again. pathethic.
our DB made all the tackles, they dont put our best players in position to make plays

You mean his empty stats? The Cowboys had 15 points when garbage time began. The usual story for an offense led by a QB with limitations like Dak.

when we were 3-5....I didn't think we'd win the East and be 1game away from the Nfc Championship.
helluva run.
this one hurts.
but Im excited about the future.
hopefully this produces a change in draft philosophy and we address the 1T spot.
I don't want to hit Post Reply because I don't want this season to end...off-season is too long.

The defense had more than an “off day”.

So did the offense. We still don't really have a gameplan on how to win if teams mange to stop Zeke

This is why I was keeping my mouth shut while just about everyone was saying Zeke was going to gash the Rams and Goff would be under a heavy pass rush.

Stats don't win games

In the biggest game the biggest strength was MIA. I cannot believe this defense mailed it in, NO heart, NO toughness, NO physicality, NOthing when they were needed most.

This is more indicative of the game plan. The Rams had creativity and a plan. We were out coached on both sides of the ball.

So let me guess:

Dak gets a typical score on his first series, when it’s scripted.

Then he is pretty mediocre including being pretty inaccurate, while the Rams blow the lead open.

He happen to get a pass when Aqil Talib goes out as concussion protocol and in typical Rams fashion their over-rated secondary gives up a big play against their scrub CB doing it all year.

Dak starts padding stats while the Rams keep giving up the underneath when the Rams are basically up two scores.

But it’s everybody but Dak’s fault whose allegedly been carrying this team the whole game
And year.

Rinse and repeat..

Dak was good, most of the pass protection, as was the starting wr’s.

Everyone else blew.

BS. Zeke couldn't get going because of the OL. Dak had his usual errant throws. The entire team played terrible.

He missed throws but as far as QB play goes, he played well enough to win. The OL and DL got dominated which is why the team lost.

We lost by one score, on the road, to a 13-3 team

We beat the team they'll be playing in the NFC Title game next week

We can compete on a game to game basis with anybody. We need more consistency.
