Garrett could walk, supposedly he would have all the offers he could want if he were free. why sit around and be someone's puppet?

as someone correctly said. You coach the Dallas Cowboys and they know your name in China (might have been Sean Payton who said that). I truly think Garrett bleeds blue and wants to see this team win Super Bowl and is willing to put his ego aside to see it happen.

true and at some point, dignity, integrity, character, and to some extent self pride get in the way....unless you don't have any.

Oh yah, that makes even more sense. LOL

And why would Garrett want Linehan gone? Linehan does EXACTLY what Garrett wants with that methodical, predictable, conservative offense. If a guy comes in here with some new, creative, more complicated offense then anything to do with Garrett will be gone from the team. His OFFENSIVE touch so to speak will be toast.
Whomever comes in is going to be running Garrett's version of the same old antiquated passing system from the 70's!

Last off-season Jason Garrett attempted to move on from Linehan and Jerry not only denied that request but increased Linehan responsibility & power. Also, Garrett was more involved with play calling duties late in year and if Dallas doesn't get OC they want....Garrett will call plays in 2019.

I said in the off-season and several times since that the Joneses basically told Garrett to stay out of the offense. They gave Linehan full control over offense and they dumped some coaches he didn't like (OL and WR coach). He also had input on coaches they hired.

I received many replies claiming there was no way I could know that information.

Something happened mid-season with the play calling and play designs. It did NOT look like stuff Garrett has done in the past.

Maybe it came from a position coach like the WR coach; however, it seemed like more than that.

As far as I know there are no rules about getting an outside consultant. There were several coaches that were not coaching this year but that have been regarded as great offensive coaches in the recent past...

Garret's gonna show those X & O's and adjustment skills. 90's football in almost 2020.

Guess next year is Garrett and Daks prove if you want the contract or we're re-organizing.

2020 has a loaded draft class at QB.

Hang in 1 more year loyal folks because there's no choice.

Another wasted year.

At QB, yes supposed to be. At this point in this year, Hankins is the highest rated and then Kyler Murray.

2020 has prospects that are supposed to come out that would probably go ahead of those 2 in this class.
Oh....I just hear about 3 of them.........which I believe are all suppose to go very high.

If he wants this team to win the SB, why doesn't he quit ?

If you want someone gone do you run to the media and declare that no major coaching changes will happen or do you run into your bosses office and tell them you want a new OC?
The latter.

As a matter of fact its starting to make some sense now. Was Paul Alexander even a Garrett hire?

What a joke this FO can be. I would change my stance if JJ canned Garrett, but why leave him in there? Yes, linehan is the latest is scapegoats but also truly needed to go. Now make the next move JJ, hire a legit HC who will hire his own OC

I don't ever want to hear these morons excuse for not getting rid of someone being about money.
We are talking about Stephen who tight with the money. I hope he is not this year in FA but history says otherwise. I want the Cowboys to spend wisely.
