If Moore is going to be OC. Why not announce it?

What doesn't make sense about the news saying Moore is a serious candidate to run the offense, why not just do it?

Are they floating it to see how it flies with the fans?
Is there disagreement within the front office?
Are they still hoping to sign someone else?

What sense does it make to announce it just to announce it? So you are happy?

They are floating it to see the fan reaction. Myself, I don't see it. Go Cowboys!

Because that's the back up plan
I think they're waiting for someone on one of the 4 teams playing today
We'll find out soon

Because they still probably are hoping to talk to OCs on one of these 4 teams playing today. No sense in not turning over every rock

Totally agree. Half this website freaked out when Linehan hadn't been fired after 3 days but it happened on day 6. They are talking to others in the NFL and likely in the coaching ranks. Anyone they are talking to has to work through questions about team, talk to people about issues with their current job, etc.

Also half the posters here will freak out reading this, but clearly others in the NFL consider Moore a very bright guy with a future in coaching (something they said going back to his college career) and people inside the team and around the NFL are talking about him as a candidate because coaching moves are the biggest topic of conversation among NFL people who aren't in the final four.

Im still hoping it works out that Dan Campbell gets the gig but doesn't sound like it.

Very bush league for a team to float a potential coach to gauge the reactions of the fans. Shows an incompetent front office instead of a competent decisive management.

I hope he doesn’t.

Dan Campbell coming here means Garrett is probably calling plays because Campbell is not an Xs and Os coach and that is what we need. Not another rah rah intangible guy.

Since when has Jerry given a damn what the fans think? He never has and never will. He knows that a majority of the fan base despises JG, but yet he still has a job. Do you need any more proof Jerry doesn't care? He only cares when its going to help him financially, just like when he needed his new palace built. You think Parcels would have been hired if Jerry didn't want a new building?

There's an article in the newsfeed zone that was posted 4 hours ago saying that the choice was already made.. I'm confused..
