If Moore is going to be OC. Why not announce it?

I hope he doesn’t.

Dan Campbell coming here means Garrett is probably calling plays because Campbell is not an Xs and Os coach and that is what we need. Not another rah rah intangible guy.

I don't want Campbell. I would prefer Moore over Campbell. Moore is an X and O type of coach. I trust Jerry to pick the right OC. LOL

we dont know he isnt an x's and o's guy.
I bet he is considering he was named interm HC in miami and interviewed for 3 openings this year.
doubt that happens because he's a good holler'er.

That’s exactly all he is. A good holler’er.

He’ll be a clapping head coach if he ever got the job.

It’s not.

He’s been getting hype for years and none of if it has been because he’s a great offensive mind.

If he was someone would have made him an OC already with the hype he’s had around him.

He’s a clapper.

What doesn't make sense about the news saying Moore is a serious candidate to run the offense, why not just do it?

Are they floating it to see how it flies with the fans?
Is there disagreement within the front office?
Are they still hoping to sign someone else?
It'll be announced during the superbowl. Jerry needs his big splash.

It's all over the news. It was on NFL radio today
.

And who was the source? Even so, I find it funny that when they hire someone fans dont like the fan reaction is Jerry doesn’t care what the fans think, yet in this situation the determination is Jerry is floating the idea to find out what the fans think. The reality is we have no idea if the Cowboys are floating the idea, or if it’s just got out that Moore will be a candidate, or if it’s a rumor with little foundation. Logic would be Jerry doesn’t need to “float the idea” to know people would question an OC in only his second year coaching.

It is obvious that Jerry doesn't really care what the fans think, he is going to do what he wants to and thinks is best

Because they still probably are hoping to talk to OCs on one of these 4 teams playing today. No sense in not turning over every rock
I think Moore is more of a fall back plan if they can’t get who they really want

Maybe they want to interview the Saints coaches first..

Thanks for injecting common sense. Even if Moore is a candidate, that doesn’t mean he is the only candidate. I personally doubt he really is a serious candidate and it’s more likely fans got hooked in by the media.

For those not aware, by rule, teams can hire or have interviews with Super Bowl team coaches for head coaching positions next week. They can also meet and hire assistant coaches from SB teams with approval from the assistant coach team.
