FYI.....since the "Report" decided nit give us a figure or range of what he can expect, you can the two articles below and decide for yourself. Hell, he's quietly becoming a celebrity. When you ever heard of fans talking about tuning in for an NFL game to listen to an analyst. You can make a case he's going to increase viewership in a way the networks have never seen. For that, if I'm Romo, my range is $12-15M.

I think it's pretty awesome to turn it onto football related programming on almost a daily basis and see a bunch of former Cowboys.

Aikman, Moose, Witten, Woodson, Deion, Playmaker, and Romo too?! It's awesome that Romo was able to climb to the top of his profession so quickly. He deserves it.

The ratio of ex-Cowboys players to other team's players in the upper tiers of the media is quite extreme. The top 2 NFL commentators are now ex-Cowboys QBs.

Really, when is the last time that we've had fans, NFL current and former players, various celebrities, etc all complementing the announcer after a big game?
Maybe back in the Madden era? But even then, not like this.
There are literally now people tuning into games he does because he is the one doing it. Nance deserves credit too, imo.

Off-base and mean-spirited replies in 5, 4, 3, 2...

It's the ten percenters.

They are wallowing in the misery of seeing Tony threads because they hate the comparisons to Dak, for some reason I'll never understand.

I think we all root for Dak, but trying to diminish one person's career to prop up the other who has less talent...

You're right. It's off-base, mean spirited and intellectually lazy.

Serious Question: Would Romo be a better offensive or defensive coordinator? Part of what makes him so great at his analysis is knowing what the offense is going to do based on a certain defensive look. Him predicting Tom Brady's next move(s) being my case in point. How much would teams love to have someone who can look at the Patriots offensive formation and know what will happen based on defensive alignment and counteract that?

How bittersweet would it be if Romo make the HOF as an announcer and not a player?

Exactly......already read a few tweets of fans saying they can't wait until SP to hear him. Never heard that before for an analyst.

Think about it Garrett makes 6 million works About 50 weeks a year day in day out. Romo works 20 weeks a year one day a week. Maybe some days for prep. The rest he’s with his family. And made 4 million. Now he’s getting a big pay raise.
He will make more than Garrett soon

I don’t buy it. I think the chance to be a NFL HC without paying any dues as an assistant would be too much for Romo to pass up. He’s a proven TV analyst and if he left he’d get opportunities to come back if he wanted. I don’t disagree that Romo has a great gig, but the draw to be in the thick of competition especially at that level is what those guys live for.
